DOGTOOTH These noms... I just want to know what Chris has against movies. Anyway, Dogtooth is a 2009 Greek-language drama film that tells the story of a husband and wife who keep their children ignorant of the world outside their property into their adulthood. It stars Christos Stergioglou, Michelle Valley, Angeliki Papoulia, Mary Tsoni and Christos Passalis. It had a budget of 250,000€ (roughly $291,000) and made $1.4 million at the box office, after its premiere at Cannes and in Greece. It won the Prix Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, and was additionally nominated for Best Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011. I'm sure it's a good film, but it doesn't really sound like my style of film so I don't know if I'll check it out. SAVE: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

The Burning (1981 dir. by Tony Maylam) The Burning is one of my favourite slasher films from the 1980s, so I'm bummed to see it get cut here. I first saw it on VHS tape as a kid, and never really heard anything else about it until the last decade or so, when it was finally brought to some boutique labels. So that was nice to see. Anyway, The Burning is another summer camp slasher film. This one tells the story of a caretaker who is burned and left disfigured after a prank goes wrong, leading him to seek his revenge years later. Contrary to most slashers of the time, this film features a final boy instead of a final girl. That was cool. SAVE: Friday the 13th, Part II

Jaws (1975 dir. by Steven Spielberg) TIL this movie is only rated PG. I guess that makes sense though.
