Misirlou Posted October 5, 2020 Share Posted October 5, 2020 S3-S17. The S18 method was just unfair for the contestants on strong teams who would have gotten through instead of other people that did. Not to mention that it was a pathetic way of satisfying the coaches´ egos so everyone was represented in the finale. Season 18's format was just so coach-centered, they just want to base the artist going to the finale because they needed to, not because he/she deserved to based on the talent. I think if Blake's S18 team as been as country-loaded as some of his other teams (S16, most notably) that'd probably have gotten more votes, but since he had a mix of artists that might have swayed people away from it.
