So based on the previews: Kat's voice sounds amazing in the studio. A little surprised that I actually like Cali. Rose has such a good voice...but something about that song isn't working for me. Might as well give Jake the most streamed bonus now. I'll predict Shane, HS, and Myracle for the bottom 3...but Joana(bc of the song) and Will could be in danger too. Didn't work out great for Jon Mero...but I think Max should be ok. Idk

If that's the way it went down then I feel for the guy, but I've never quite understood people's need to air something like this on SM. What does that accomplish?

I think Jake Hoot's voice has a Ronnie Dunn quality to it. I'd like to hear him sing "Neon Moon" by Brooks and Dunn. It's a well written song that would give Jake's voice some spots to soar, which is where I think he excels.

They have too right? Otherwise how could anyone explain contestants like Addison and Chloe "losing" their battle and KO? It happens when one coach ends up with the bulk of the talent after the blinds ie Miley in S13 or John this season.

Ya see, this is what pisses me off so much about the show! About the most realistic thing most of these artists can hope for is a little national exposure for WHO THEY REALLY ARE. The vast majority of the audience will never get to see the real Jake bc they trotted him out there with Pink and Adele and Shawn Mendes songs. I can only imagine how frustrating it was for him to have to be someone he's not.

Yep Hoot has basically no competition for that voter bloc now. I also think hardcore Blakers are more likely to support Ricky than Cali. Especially if he continues with the folkish/Americana rock type stuff. Or Kat since she seems to me to be Blake's fav.

And for someone who fills the same genre as Rose, who is way better than her. Gwen missed an opportunity to diversify her team and add some uniqueness to it. Bad move.

Drive is so important in everything but particularly in this industry. It takes so much more than just recording a few good songs to be super successful. Touring, endless hours of self promotion, writing...not to mention the ability to know what your audience wants, in some cases even before they themselves do. Lots of people can sing. Very few have what it takes to be a star. Like the old Cypress Hill song says...It's a fun job but it's still a job.
