  1. I remember when they leaked Britton’s audition in Season 14 to show how the block works, and we didn’t know what team he was on. The previous season, we didn’t know that Brooke was a Four Chair Turn before her audition was one of the leaks before the premiere
  2. I agree. I thought the Top 10 were all good performances. I hope to do another ranking for a different overdone song (but at least I won’t have to rank 13 performances). This is an overdone song choice that is often done well. Now I’m wondering how difficult Make It Rain and It’s a Man’s World rankings will be, especially since I don’t remember not liking any of those performances in the US version.
  3. I’m going to rank all 13 of the US performances here, especially since it’s pretty obvious which one I’m going to pick. 1. Jesse Campbell vs Anthony Evans 2. Viktor Kiraly 3. Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson 4. Joshua Vacanti 5. Lauren Diaz 6. Melissa Jimenez 7. Elyjuh Rene vs Maiya Sykes 8. Alex Guthrie 9. Nicole Nelson 10. Hannah Goebel 11. Lily Elise 12. Lynnea Moorer 13. Sonia Rao I liked a lot of these performances, so many of these were very close Voice UK- Diamond Voice Australia- I can’t see Russ’s video I realized that I prefer the performances with more personality and spark to them
  4. Are you saying you disliked that amount of covers from them? I didn’t know if you were mentioning show performances because that’s the exact amount of show performances from them that I didn’t care for. I like to wait to judge contestants until I see performances and not care too much about what the spoilers say. Some contestants are disappointing on the show, and others end up surprising me.
  5. At least they both made finale, so you didn’t completely flop with predictions.
  6. From what I remember, when IDF picks an ideal Top 3, it is always wrong. That’s why I think there is a good chance of one of Neil, NOIVAS and Grace losing their Knockouts, especially since we haven’t seen any of their performances on the show
  7. Yeah. Right after I typed this I saw them on your list of favorite auditions that season. And I think both are in my Top 10 that season as well (Kendra had one of my favorite one chair auditions ever).
  8. Yeah I definitely used to care more about results than I do now. Also because I have experienced a lot in my life since I started watching the show, and am now much older than when I discovered the show. I had a lot more important things to worry about in my personal life the week of the S22 finale.
  9. In context of the show, I think it definitely depends on who actually won that season, but it’s definitely more fun to see your favorite win. If I like the winning contestant (and most contestants that won have had enjoyable runs, even if they weren’t my top choice), it’s easier to accept. There are plenty of contestants that I have accepted as the winner even if they weren’t my personal choice. I feel like I used to care more about specific contestants winning, but if it’s close, there might be more than one good option. Even then, someone you don’t like winning a TV competition won’t ruin your life. It’s like if your team loses a championship or your rival wins. If I was watching say 5 years ago, I would have been very angry at Bryce winning, but I was just disappointed and ended it there. I realized that there are more important things in my life than someone winning a singing show.
  10. Yeah, he had at least twelve finalists too many as well, but most of his winners aren’t included in that (there are plenty that I would have kept as just a finalist). He would have still had plenty of Top 2 placements, but not in all but 2 seasons
  11. Yeah, Jermaine and Bryce were his weakest winners to me, but I felt that in S22 there was a different contestant from his team that I would have been more accepting of as a winner. With S4, S7 and S13, I respected the winners but they weren’t my choice to win those seasons. S12 and S21 are both seasons where he had a good contender to win but didn’t, but I personally preferred the actual winners of those seasons (though both were very deserving of Top 2). S10 to a lesser extent, but more because I felt that the winner was one of the greatest contestants of all time. Though in S14, I strongly preferred his highest placing contestant to the winner (one of the rare times where I felt Blake deserved a better position in the finale). S20 was the only time I really supported one of his winners, but S11, S3 and S18 are seasons where I was also content with his winners. I’ll go into a lot more detail on them when Rank the Blake Winners comes out in May 2023. I think 5-6 winners is a good estimate for me as well
  12. Also, I guess it’s fitting how Blake Shelton retires the same year as Tom Brady, since both have been very dominant in their respective competitions, including winning a lot more titles than anyone else.
  13. I’m sure that plenty of singers that have been offered coaching jobs have said no, since they are either too busy or not interested in it.
  14. Ryan Tedder has written so many songs for other artists, including several past and present coaches, so I’m sure he will know how to help the artists. I know Pharrell wrote songs for other artists, but I have a feeling Ryan Tedder would make better decisions, especially since he is more pop than Pharrell. I can see him turning his chair for an artist and telling them he wrote their audition song, if it’s one of the songs he wrote, or that he wrote a song for that artist
  15. Can anyone identity any of the contestants in here? (I know there are only a few though)
  16. That matchup would definitely have a playoff pass. Though Corey also had a great Knockout that season, and I wouldn’t have loved him as much without that performance
  17. I’m unsure about the Sarah Grace one but Ashland makes sense (especially since Megan made Knockouts that season). The main battle from past seasons that strikes me as a playoff pass battle is Allegra vs the original Michael Williams. I think Allegra getting it would have made more sense, especially because of how good Michael‘s Knockout was. I thought it was quite even, but Allegra had more momentum going into that round. Elyjuh vs Maiya could have had a playoff pass if it existed as well. Again, we need to see what those battles are like this season and the reasoning behind the coaches’ decisions to be able to guess more accurately. Hopefully the Knockouts will then tell us if the pass decision was worth it.
  18. Very true. Even people like Jake Hoot and Girl Named Tom would have had a lower chance, since their Knockouts were important performances for them. (Chloe and Chevel probably wouldn’t have received fast-passes, though, considering their Battles got montaged, and Chloe was a Knockout steal anyway). Brynn, Carter, Jake and GNT all had a shot based on their battle. I think the pass would only be helpful in the long run if someone already had an excellent performance (like if their audition was good). Though the coaches often know who their TCO is and will make sure they win their Knockout.
  19. That is a good point. I didn’t think much about that issue, since I was thinking of when The Voice UK Season 2 let the fast pass contestants perform that round. It would have been nice if they were given a performance but also having immunity in said round. Either way, we won’t know how effective the round was until it truly happens (just like how we didn’t see some of the problems with the cross battles until the next round). Hopefully this will have a less severe effect on the competition
  20. I would especially feel bad for Michael if he lost his Knockout due to his opponent receiving the playoff pass. If I think the “winner” was on par with or better than their playoff pass opponent, I would feel bad for them if they got eliminated, and I would be more likely to consider their elimination a “robbery”. Then again, I don’t know if coaches give the person the playoff pass to the person they actually thought won the battle, but it’s still mean towards the contestants that “won” the battle, since they’re tricked into thinking they won.
  21. Thanks. I didn’t realize he had more information about the auditions.
  22. On a side note, how many polls will there be for the all star game? (I’m curious so I can be strategic with some of my voting)
  23. I’ve been reading/posting on this site for too many seasons to know how IDF spoilers work (at least since Season 9), and I’ve seen plenty of incorrect spoilers over the years as well
  24. I don’t make fan threads anymore. I made a few per season on the old IDF, but I lost interest in most of them post-season, and I know I would eventually abandon most fan threads here, even after my season hiatuses.
