This is heartbreaking. Sheer Element, one of my Top 5 favorite auditions, is in the bottom half of both rankdowns. I guess I didn’t hate the song enough to consider Jonathan Mouton one of the better S21 auditions (though not in my T10). We’ll see where they fall in my end of season ranking though (unfortunately not Top 5 due to their short run) Sorelle- closer to where I would have them than Jarmon’s list. This performance definitely gave me Glee club vibes as well. Their battle fortunately didn’t though Jamar- closer on this list for me. It was in the bottom half but relatively close. It wasn’t a standout audition to me, and his battle is also similarly mid (though I thought he elevated the battle) EJ- Both of you had him in similar spots to me. I do think his battle was better though, and I thought he stuck out more in that performance. Ali- closer on Jarmon’s ranking. It was one of my Bottom 5 auditions this season.

So it’s not Mercy, In My Blood, Stitches, Treat You Better, There’s Nothing Holding Me Back or Wonder. Could it be Life of the Party?

I’m clicking Michael was better but Ryley deserved a steal. It wasn’t too much of a difference to me though. I’m also including the potential Ryley showed in his audition when I say that he deserves to stay in the competition.

Yeah. This is the first area where the playoff pass seems to be a negative. I feel like Ryley would have benefit more from the Knockouts, because Gina passed him as my Team Niall favorite, and he won’t be able to rebound if I like Gina’s Knockout. Not to mention that unlike Manasseh and Mary Kate, Ryley survives the playoffs.

Makes sense. I didn’t watch the coach feedback yet. We know that Ryley is Niall’s favorite though

Now that we’ve seen both of Niall’s Semifinalists -Ryley had the better audition -Gina had the better battle performance

By the way, this is not the first time a one chair turn named Michael beats a four chair turn in battles on a new coach’s team (though it’s unclear if the coaches interpret the playoff pass as a battle win or not)

This was a very close battle. There was a large gap between their auditions but Michael stepped up a lot. It was good to hear him on a different song. I’m glad both made it through

If the leak was posted tomorrow, I wonder how many fake leaks we would have received

Yeah, this song definitely deserves to be banned. It’s been sung way too much and a lot of the performances were not very good. They also keep giving it to acts that are not rock

Sail is definitely one of the best performances to land a contestant in the Bottom. She deserved to win the first Instant Save in the show’s history, and there were actually no performances that season. Fun fact, Carson actually said the name of the last place votegetter before revealing that Kat won the save. S5 Top 12 was honestly one of the best Live Show episodes ever though

Yeah, one of my few complaints about S5 is that some of the battle steals were misused that season (Ex: Nic Hawk, who went on to give one of the most infamous playoff performances of all time. I really have a distaste for Nic(k) H’s on the show. Week 1 had quite a few I would switch though).

It shouldn’t be a surprise considering there is only one word in their name on the show

I feel like S9 is where I start to become more familiar with the contestants’ runs because that’s when I started to watch in depth more (I don’t have a lot of memories watching 7, 8 and lives for 6)

It’s weird to think that It Must Have Been Love has only been sung on the show twice. It definitely seems like a song that would be done a bit more, since it is quite known.

If ALI vs D. Smooth closes, Kate vs Tiana has to be in the last episode. I think it makes sense to show them on Tuesday anyway, since they will want to give Ray and NOIVAS the better edit

Yeah, S10 particularly had a terrible format. The day Blinds finished, they eliminated all but 20 acts (including one auditioner from that same episode). The next week, only 8 contestants were left. Finalists only got 4 rounds of actual performances that season, and only 8 contestants got at least three. I’m not counting the cut because that’s just ten seconds of each contestant singing.

I feel like Michelle was definitely more for me, especially since I was familiar with the songs when that season aired because I was in middle school during that time. I didn’t have even close to the music knowledge I have now (or much singing competition viewing experience) back when that season aired. I also remember thinking Michelle was really cool and unique. She was a standout on Team Usher for me since the Blinds (one of the only contestants I really liked from his original team)

Either them or Ali/D. Smooth. They want to leak either Niall or Kelly for this upcoming week.

It’s a good thing that didn’t automatically put her in the bottom, since she still gave a good performance despite the technical issue
