  3. Laith I felt pretty much his wohle run, he knocked it out of the park. As Daillon mentioned regarding Jesse, he was pretty nice but overall forgettable. Like this season had Hunter Plake, Brennley Brown, and Vanessa Ferguson as alternatives. Even though he performed relatively well his whole run (and gave us the only performance of Sir Duke on the show!), I don't get how Jesse got that finale spot over all of them.

  6. Worth noting for Carter, he was actually taped after Blake's team was full so he could only get a max of 3 chairs. I also don't remember if the taping order from the spoiler page for the last taping was correct, but if Carter was after Emmalee, then he only had 2/2.
  7. Well that was quick Bummed to see the show go down like this. It's always been one of the best. Shame to all of those whose behavior caused led to this.
  8. Mixed some all time faves with some of my least favorites lol. Noah Mac always.
  9. A good, competitive mix here but Addison was my favorite.
  10. Voted Chloe for personal preference. Everyone Alisan and below is an acceptable choice though imo!
  11. Only liked a few of these and I voted Brennley basically bc she was the only one of them to survive playoffs
  12. Wonder if this will have any effect on any other franchises around the world. I mean it's literally the original version. I think the U.S. version will be fine because we're far enough separated from it and have become our own beast, but what about the other international versions? Specifically those in nearby countries like Germany. That's one of my favorite international versions. Hell, Holland is one of them as well.
  13. There's a lot of women who I feel could take on Kelly's spot (P!nk, Gaga, even an older/less contemporary singer) but none of them have been on the show yet. Loved Ari, but she's a long shot for a second season anyways and minivan doesn't like her. Love Gwen, but she doesn't give off the energy that Kelly brings and there will always be that separate Blake-Gwen dynamic that's nice but will get boring vs a rivalry like Kelly-Blake. JHud has the right energy but she's too divisive for the audience. So I don't think the show is doomed without her, but it's a hard one to replace. Kelly replacing Adam was a total fluke. Blake is the hard one to replace. Always onboard for an even male-female panel though!
  14. It took me several seasons to build up a tolerance to Blake. Not sure I can learn to tolerate another country male on the show before it cancelled
  15. We're supposed to find out more specific info on Thursday I think. Sad that this seems like the end. I feel horrible to the contestants that were affected by the abusive behaviors. I also feel bad for the current contestants who worked hard to get onto this season Damn. So many people got screwed over by these nasty folks. I'll miss Anouk and Waylon.
  16. It involves the bandleader and one of the other coaches from previous seasons, in fact it seems like that other coach was a MAJOR problem. Blinds were taped, it's all over the news there... not sure. A scandal isn't something that you can just edit out/modify rules for like they did when the Russian Voice coach died mid-season back in November.
  17. Well given that it's partly about Ali B... I could imagine that them scrapping the season. You can't exactly edit a coach out mid-blinds.
  18. Uh oh... y'all don't have to worry about the season anymore. https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/the-voice-of-holland-sexual-misconduct-allegations-1235019639/ It's been suspended indefinitely.
  19. Some good people so far! Kinda wish somebody would update the wikipedia page so we could keep better track of everyone. It's why I didn't get too into last season lol.
  20. Still a very questionable song choice for the pairing but Joshua ate! I genuinely liked him on the song from the beginning. It was Keilah I didn't like.
  21. I recall that I think. Maybe that got cut out? I have only fuzzy memories of the S19 spoilers now lol.
  22. Yeah a lot of songs you can kind of clean up the lyrics a bit or omit certain verses (like You Oughta Know) and others they’ll let in a few non-minivan-friendly lyrics slip in (like New Americana)
  23. We know that due to the limits and censors on cable television, we will tragically never get a mashup of WAP/S&M in battles. I know, I'm devastated as well just thinking about what we're missing out on. I'm sure Todd Tilghman's take on the song would've been phenomenal. But let's reflect on some other songs that would be fantastic to hear on the show, but due to the lyrical content or whatever other reason, it won't make it to TV. (Although I know some of these may be featured in international versions of the show) I submit this classic: and this bop:
  24. There haven't been too many songs in the past few seasons (besides a lot of the country ones) that I wasn't at least somewhat familiar with and enjoyed the original of, but here's what I came up with: Inseparable - Natalie Cole (Jershika nailed this and made it her own but the original is so wonderful to have on in the background as well) Woman - Doja Cat (Libianca actually convinced me to finally give Doja a try and I love it) pov - Ariana Grande (I didn't know this before Ryleigh/Gean as it was before it big on the radio and it became one of the bigger hits of the year) exile - Taylor Swift/Bon Iver (yes it got montaged, but having never heard it before I loved hearing Bon Iver on the track and it's stuck with me since) Drinkin' Problem - Midland (I didn't particularly love Carter's version but man if all male country songs were like this it'd be much more tolerable) Cover Me Up - Jason Isbell (Damn, Jake. I should've been angrier with him winning over Ricky, Katie, and Rose but this was so damn solid) My My My - Troye Sivan (Mari's performance had issues but the beat was pretty damn catchy. Haven't heard this in a minute but I view the song positively) Hurt Somebody - Noah Kahan (Claire's audition was okay but I still enjoy this song when it comes on shuffle) Space Cowboy - Kacey Musgraves (I didn't pay attention to Kacey besides Follow Your Arrow before this. Golden Hour became one of my favorite records of the year after Chevel's performance) Kozmic Blues - Janis Joplin (god am I still pissed we didn't hear this whole performance from Katrina. Hadn't heard the original, listened to it, love it now) Both Sides Now - Joni Mitchell (Ashamed to say I'd never listened to this until Addison. So much time wasted. One of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard.) Every Little Bit Hurts - Brenda Holloway (Lilli/Lauryn's battle was so underrated. Both did excellent. Also love the original and laughed when I heard it in Baby Driver.) Drown In My Own Tears - Ray Charles (Sa'Rayah took me to church) I Hold On - Dierks Bentley (Completely far out of anything I listen to usually, but Angie inspired me to go the original and what the hell, I unironically love this song.) Lilac Wine - (In looking for Emily's video, I found Nina Simone's version too and DAMN. Probably even more fascinating than Buckley) We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off - Ella Eyre version (Pretty sure I didn't know the original either, but Ellie's audition remains one of the all time best.) Strawberry Wine - Deana Carter (it's been covered a few times since, but Summer introduced me to this one and I love it) Even If It Breaks Your Heart - Eli Young Band (Morgan Frazier got me with this one. Solid song that I rarely skip on shuffle) Say You Love Me - Jessie Ware (Jeffery's version) Something In the Water - Carrie Underwood (Celeste's version wasn't perfect, nor is off-Christian music my thing, but she did introduce me to this Carrie track) She's Got You - Patsy Cline (I didn't care for Emily Ann's version, but it did direct me to the stunning original. Jewel's version on TMS is muuuuuch better thankfully!) Burning House - Cam (Perhaps I'm giving Emily Ann too much credit but yeah, this slaps.) Barton Hollow - The Civil Wars (I actually didn't like Alaska and Madi's blind at all lol. Such a good original though!) We're Going to Be Friends - The White Stripes (Damn season 5 REALLY had some good picks that we just can't get anymore. Caroline's was lovely.)
