Haven't watched Ryley, NOIVAS, or Ray yet, but I'm gathering IDF thinks Ryley (and Holly) deserved to move on? Over who?

I think most people here were counting out 2 of D SMooth/Gina/Sorelle, and all 3 ended up making it. Honestly no complaints there Had Holly been called 5th, it would've been a near perfect finale for me. But oh well

Rachel Mary Kate Jamar Cait Apart from Kala being the obvious undeserving elimination this round, the first three could've moved on over others in their respective teams and I wouldn't have been mad. As much as I love Cait, Kelly got her top 2 right, but her performance was still good

Locks Grace NOIVAS Holly Will probably make it Ryley Up in the air (depends on POs and Semis reception; either way they'd likely be fighting for 5th place) Sorelle Gina D Smooth DOA Ray

Also I don't get the impression that contestants on the show are super warm towards NOIVAS (some of the contestants in the live at least). Nothing disrespectful was said but it was giving Spensha during her post-finale interview saying "meh" when asked about Pryor

She quoted one user that's only in discussion threads. Idk why they go on that thread every week just to spread negativity, but hey, they might be going through it idk

ALI also called out IDF for being ableist in the comments of the live. Just a reminder to be careful with what we say or how we refer to contestants with disabilities on the show. Not cool at all if the contestants themselves feel like comments here are being discriminatory towards them in any way and it's not ok.

Unpop: The playoff pass shenanigan isn't too bad? Like I understand why it's confusing and some people might not like it (mainly because of contestants losing a performance on the show and moving on directly after "losing" their battle) but I prefer it MILES over some other KO shenanigans the producers have pulled over the years (HATED the three way knockouts with my heart, would've much rather had a playoff pass over that atrocity)

Yeah I thought Rachel would do a different arrangement. I was expecting something more Katrina Cain-y (best cover of Rhiannon we've had on the show imo), which maybe was a weird expectation, but I still think she'll be one of the strongest losing knockouts we'll have this season and that performance defo deserved a steal

I agree with you for the most part. Yes battles/knockouts decisions should be based on how it went in the moment (see Micah vs Tayler, that's one decision I will personally always disagree with) but how do you decide when two artists are equal in the round? At the end of the day there are more factors that are inevitably taken into consideration. Part of the coaches critiques were also that they were very equal. The reason why I personally think NariYella should've gone through is that again, both performances were equally as "ok" (both did alright, no one did anything super special to push them over the other) but based on their past performances you can see who is more likely to give great performances and put up a fight later on. I still like Ray (especially his personality) and won't call him "undeserving", but also of course people are gonna feel some type of way when their favorites (who have built up hype after previous strong performances) are getting eliminated over others who most people seem to agree aren't quite hitting the mark. This happens every season.

Wait all this time I forgot Ray beats Kala AND Manasseh in the playoffs??? And then one hour later we'll see Kylee, Mary Kate, and Rachel getting eliminated The first Monday of playoffs girl I will not be okay

Kala, Cait, Kylee, Gina, NOIVAS, and Tasha were all amazing imo
