If you're referencing Spensha throwing shade, I wish I could remember EXACTLY what it was... but I DO remember seeing an interview of her and Kyla Jade after the Semifinals eliminations (where Spensha got a very shocking PV, and I'm pretty sure everyone and their mother, including Spensha, thought it would be either Britton or Pryor). Spensha and Kyla were being questioned, and Spensha said something shady that very clearly referenced her not liking Pryor. (Don't quote me on this, but I THINK it was that the interviewer asked if Kyla and Spensha were sad about their teammate (Pryor) being eliminated, and Spensha said something like, "Ehhhh...") I remember Kyla saying something like, "Watch it. Be nice." I'll see if I can find the video, although I bet it's been taken down by now. (I've been scrolling through YouTube, but unfortunately, I don't think I see it yet. All I can remember is that I think they were all sitting down, not standing on a red carpet or anything.) Also, I don't blame 'em either lol, she has some very... interesting... accounts she's following...

Biased towards: Soulful singers with massive ranges, nuanced performances, and inventive song choices/remixes. Bonus points if they're good at vocal gymnastics. People who don't show up to their auditions wearing any hats. I swear that 75% of auditionees wear hats, and it's so refreshing to see someone walk up there without one. Rock singers, particularly hard rock and glam metal. (I have a bit of a soft spot for classic rock and alternative rock too, though.) Crooners. Idc what y'all think, I'm a sucker for a good crooner. And c'mon, you never have to worry about them making it farther than Playoffs anyway lol LGBT singers. I can't really explain why; they just... automatically get a point in my book. Biased against: Country singers who sing anything with even vaguely religious undertones. Don't get me wrong, it's strategically smart, but I've only ever vaguely liked it once (Craig Wayne Boyd's "The Old Rugged Cross"), and everyone else has entirely lost me. People who sing a coach's song, and then sound worse than the coach did on the original. Crooners who desperately try to sing Justin Bieber songs when they realize their schtick is running thin. Anyone who abandons their unique style transparently so they can try to get votes, but I really do have a special dislike for crooners who do it. Like, it never works anyway; just accept your fate.

I kinda disagree with the whole "I didn't turn because I didn't think I stood a chance" reason a lot of coaches give. For one thing, some crazy pairings have generated some of the most interesting runs on this show (like Blake/Kyla Jade, Gwen/Rose Short, etc.) - and for another, sometimes turning for an absurdly good audition is just a move of respect. Like, it's signaling to viewers that it was so good, that regardless of whether the coach stands a chance or not, it deserved 4 chairs for its artistry. I hate when people have amazing auditions, and by mere virtue of one coach deciding they won't get picked, they don't even try.

Trevin Hunte from Season 3. Adam literally spent the entire audition vibing to Trevin's performance, while Blake screamed at him to turn (legit at one point said, "What is WRONG with you?!"), and he just... didn't. Like, it was the quintessential 4-chair audition, and Adam just refused to turn because he didn't think he stood a chance against Cee Lo, Christina, and Blake. Very similar to the reasoning he gave for (equally unjustly) not turning for Chevel Shepherd's audition.

Inspired by the fact that I saw an article about Season 11's Wé McDonald (who now goes by Wé Ani') auditioning for American Idol this season. Maddie Poppe also auditioned for The Voice; her audition was televised, but she didn't get any chair turns. But she won her season of American Idol. And then I remembered that Brooke Simpson and the late Nolan Neal were on America's Got Talent. (On another note, I wonder if any contestants have been on all 3 shows.) And of course, Ali Caldwell was on The Four Exactly how many contestants are there who have been on other talent shows, whether they were on The Voice before or after they went on another show? I know there have been A TON, but I can't think of anymore names off the top of my head. (I'd especially be interested in seeing those who were rejected/eliminated on another show, but did way better or even won The Voice - or the other way around, like Maddie Poppe.)

Only one that compares is his reaction to his team member, Adam Cunningham, advancing over Team Miley's Janice Freeman. Total dead eyes lol

Bryce Leatherwood's "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away." I legitimately think that song propelled him into 'winner' territory when he wasn't fully there before. Fit squarely into his vocal range, and won people over emotionally. (I'd make a similar argument for "Don't Close Your Eyes," but I think IHWSFA was a brilliant choice on a different level.) Chris Blue's "Love on the Brain." I still remember how impressive it was for him to use all that expertly-done falsetto live, to demonstrate his massive range. Kyla Jade's "Let It Be." Picking a song that the fanbase's demographics would instantly recognize, while putting her own gospel spin on it, was such a brilliant choice. Craig Wayne Boyd's "The Old Rugged Cross." Yet another one that propelled a singer into 'winner' territory when it may have felt more uncertain before. Picking an old religious hymn and showing a significantly softer side that contrasted the country-rock-outlaw image his other song choices gave him... I mean, I don't know if he could've beaten Matt McAndrew without this one. I love topics like this! That's all I can think of for now, but I'd love to add more as my memory brings them back to me.

Anyway, my own ranking: 1. Jershika Maple 2. Victor Solomon 3. Micah Iverson 4. John Holiday 5. Brayden Lape Actually enjoyed all of them, to some extent: Jershika's pre-lives were impeccable, and even though she had some issues live, she was still good. I liked more of Micah's performances than most people here did. I still regularly listen to his "Graveyard," and I really liked "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" too. Brayden started off OK ("Mercy" was actually really good), but he lost me as the season went on.

I read that "duh!" in TDI Heather's voice lol

What about Eric Who's "Ex's and Oh's?" He literally crawled across the stage...

I'll give my proposals: bodie - Golden Hour Kim Cruse - Summertime Omar Jose Cardona - In the Name of Love, Somebody to Love Kique - Hey Ya Justin Aaron - Break Every Chain

Basically, those performances that were just so jaw-droppingly special, that we'll keep bringing them up - like people still bring up "Landslide" by Chloe MK, "You Don't Own Me" by Kyla Jade, "Here Comes Goodbye" by Brynn Cartelli, etc.

Set 1: Jordan Smith's "Somebody to Love," and it isn't close. I felt like I was watching an awards show performance. I didn't even feel like I was watching The Voice. Everything from the stage design, to the choreography, to the camera work, to Jordan's brilliant vocal decisions throughout... I mean, I think it's one of the show's greatest performances in history. Set 2: Jake Hoot's "Desperado." It was the performance that made him really respect him. He did such a beautiful job with that song. There were a lot of amazing ones there, though, especially Cam Anthony and Girl Named Tom.

100% agreed. I think it's controversial to say, but I think Omar's performance was just as good as Jordan's. They were both extremely special performances, both two of the greatest performances in the show's history. I didn't think anyone could do it, but Omar ABSOLUTELY did. (Also, Omar was one of my top 2 singers this season, along with Justin, so maybe I'm a little biased lol)

My top 3 are EXTREMELY close, so it's hard to pick one. It's SO CLOSE between Omar, Rose Short, and Desz. (Koryn would most likely be 4th, and Kennedy Holmes would most likely be 5th.)

Second batch, voted for Cam Anthony, by far. First batch, voted for Chris Blue — but Craig Wayne Boyd was pretty close. But it looks like Chloe is going to win in a... landslide. (...I'll see myself out)

Alisan Porter for the first batch. Chris Blue for the second. (For the first batch, I was very torn between Alisan and Jordan Smith. For a sec, I mildly considered Craig Wayne Boyd and Tessanne Chin.) (For the second batch, it was a very easy decision, although I thought a lot of those auditions were brilliant [especially Maelyn and Girl Named Tom]. But I just have a special place in my heart for Chris's.)

You know, I'm not that mad about him winning, but he's still in my Bottom 5. For every other male country singer who has won before him, I thought they did something special or remarkable that helped me to understand their victories (even if I didn't always agree). I really liked Craig Wayne Boyd, and I thought Jake Hoot was solid. Bryce was just kinda straightforward. Great performances at the end as he figured out what song choices worked for him, but there was something uniquely special about almost every winner before him, and I'm having trouble pinning that for Bryce right now. My bottom was Jermaine Paul too.

I'm not really sure what to say. As someone who almost lost all of my favorite contestants in one night (Omar, Justin, Kim, and Parijita - with Omar being the only one saved), I feel your pain. You really do remind me of myself, especially when I first started very closely following the show (around Season 7). I used to be aggressively passionate about who I thought deserved to win. I've judged the character of the nebulous Team Minivan, strangers who made voting decisions I couldn't understand. Especially having grown up on the types of singers who rarely win the show, and having appreciated their talent and the beauty of their voices, I really get where you're coming from. But I guess after watching it for a while, you get used to approaching it differently. I watch this show expecting my favorites NOT to win, being disappointed when they almost inevitably get shafted, but also appreciating the time I DO get to spend with them. I watch the show to learn about amazing performers who I never would've known about otherwise, people whose careers I'm invested in following after the show. There's something very unique about each season's "personality" and the contestants within it, and that makes it exciting to watch each year/half-year. I'm not saying you have to keep watching the show, but I AM saying that when you get used to it, you know what the main fanbase is into, and you accept that - and then you just appreciate the parts of the show that you DO enjoy, while they last. I enjoy this show a lot more when I remember to view it like that, and when I don't get too wrapped up in my emotions or indignation (which I still do on occasion lol). IDK, I'm really not sure what to say, but I hope I worded myself OK.

As for my feelings about this finale... I'm not mad??? Two weeks ago, I would've been FURIOUS at this conclusion. In fact, I'm pretty sure I said 2 weeks ago (or even 1 week ago!) that Bryce didn't deserve to win. But I'm content. Omar (my snowflake) didn't get last, so I'm good lol. And Bryce came to EAT these past few weeks and became the first singer ever (to my knowledge) to win after being in an Instant Save, so... I'm proud of him and happy for him. He wasn't my pick, but he deserved it, and I feel bad for saying he didn't. And for what it's worth, I downright loved his semifinal and finale performances. Thought they were some of the best of each night. One thing I have to give him is that he demonstrated throughout his time on the show that he really knows himself as an artist. He had phenomenal song choices. And he got his pitch issues under control in the past few weeks - so it was cool watching him grow this season (because he really, really demonstratively did), it was cool watching him get better as the season progressed, and it was cool watching him develop into a true artist with his own style.

I knew Morgan got 3rd and Bodie got 2nd when they instantly went to announce the winner. They did the same thing with Todd/Toneisha/Thunderstorm in Season 18; I guess it's tradition now that when the same coach has two singers in the top 2, and the 3rd place singer is from another team, they just don't announce 3rd place anymore. I am glad they gave Bryce a little more time to celebrate tonight, though. It feels like some seasons, they INSTANTLY move onto the credits/next show, practically within ten seconds of Carson's announcement.

I guess it's complicated. I reeeeally didn't like him until the semifinals/finals, when he gave not only his three best performances (in my opinion), but some of the standout performances of each night. Like, I actively disliked him... but he really showed up on those last two nights. I don't know where THAT Bryce was during the rest of the season, but I'm not mad about him winning. I'm actually more stunned that someone has FINALLY won this show from an Instant Save.
