I dont know if its unpopular but Ive been watching the top 24 on American Idol and the artists seem a lot more interesting and marketable on Idol. But the American Idol thread is much shorter so I guess it unpopular

Ariana is talented and probably the most current coach ive seen on the Voice. But she's not going to create a star or put in much effort. She's influenced by Mariah And its pretty well known she also has Mariah's diva behavior and bad attitude. She wont be a very caring coach

As far as singing competition goes its not just a country phenomenon. The original American Idol started going downhill as soon as they allowed guitars. The first winner in that cycle was pretty good then they got progressivley mediocre. Seasons 7 all the way to the end were all white male guitar players mostly of the adult contemporary variety (except for one rigged season). The main audience demo is female and they prefer male singers, particuarly males of a certain variety. To be fair, the shows dont cast female singers that other girls would like. I will say as a guy also that the majority of my favs on these shows are female singers. The male singers/bands I do have on my playlist are mostly big voiced rock singers or sing dark content. They dont market well on singing competitions. It may well be the same for girls.

I actually am going to lean towards Nick winning with Rachel. Kenzie will obviously make the finals with Kelly but he will have to compete against another Blake country artist and likely Blake's friend at that since Jordan doesnt seem ery likeable. I think with two country singers in the finals the one on Blake's team has the upperhand. However, there will likely be enough of a vote split to give Rachael the win

Tom Izzo is known for being disrespectful to his players. That is why he will never win another championship. His style may have worked 20-30 years ago but young people now a days wont take that.
