Yeah, perhaps I'm a bit nitpicking when it comes to Waylon.
-
Yeah, but I think (maybe) Willie would have been better if this is the lane TPTB wanted.
-
I wouldn't trust any of them with a Waylon song...

This is very delusional of them. Kelly worked with Syd once and gave him a spot on her performance during christmas. She toured with the first contestant she lost on The Voice. Brynn writes for her, she did a duet with Hoot. She took Chevel to one of the country awards. It's crazy to not consider her as a coach.

Ditto. I do love classic country, outlaw, etc. And while his voice is nice, I think he needs more overall experience and song choices to display his instrument.
-
Alright.. We are really thinking Kenzie and Pete will be montaged or is this collective delusion?
-
Sleeping at last has a Total Eclipse of the heart version. Let's get minivan.
-
Now I wonder... What are the odds of TPTB bussing Corey? Stranger things have happened.
-
... I'm PRETTY SURE Kelly will know how to make it explode in the end. It's ones of her specialties when covering a song... AND IT'S HER DAMN SONG.
-
What!? No way, your minimalistic style is so well done and people tend to love it. Besides, IDK how to work with vetors
-
That's the performance I've been looking forward the most this season, because I'm a Kelly Clarkson stan, Sleeping at last is really cool (cof cof my early days of watching Grey's Anatomy cof cof), Corey can pull it off and it was a smart choice overall. Appeals to his talent in conveying emotion, it's right in his pocket and there's the whole clickbait of "See this competitor put a different spin in his coach song).
-
Oh, man. Thank you, so much ☺☺☺
-
That was my major intention with the drawing, because they are so expressive. I've tried my best, but still could have been a bit better. But that's fine
-
@anonymouskid_35 made me wanna draw Corey too

It's really easy to connect TMH to an audience, come on. It would be easier if he was the front in a band, but overall, that guy is pretty much ready for a deal with a heavy metal label. I mean... I listen to the genre and it's subgenres quite a lot. There's a lot of Todd Michael Halls out there. Specially in Europe. Blind Guardian, Edguy, Kamelot... Just from the top of my head.
-
Congrats, this is great. Thank you. If I'm inspired enough, I might do one and post here, too. His eyes are so emotional while singing, it might even be a nice exercise on how to convey emotion and human expression.
-
Damn they nailed this battle. Congrats to them, Kelly, Fonsi, and the people behind the scenes. I feel like this was such a group effort and they totally delievered it.
-
Here is the thing... I don't wanna sound obnoxious, but I think there have been some people on The Voice who are marketable in my musical niches. Specifically, Todd Michael Hall and Katie Kadan. I mean, if they signed Black Pumas and Alabama Shakes, there's a market for what Katie is. Todd Michael Hall could be signed by a label like Nuclear Blast or something else that is metal driven. It doesn't mean they would be huge or popular. But there could be a solid niche space for them.

Considering the people we know will be on the lives, I'm betting the finale will be something similar to... 1st/2nd - Team Kelly/Team Blake 3 - Team Legend 4 - Team Nick (because of coach quotas. Otherwise, a bloodbath).
-
I'm a diehard Team Kelly supporter. But I'm a bit afraid of Blake getting 1st spot this season with Pete, perhaps... I mean, I never expected the guy to reach the lives and he has so many Youtube views (even though there's the whole "look he and the coach worked together before" vibe).
-
The auditions I watch the most aren't indicative of how much I love the artists. Sometimes, I just like to see a particular banter or something. But when it comes to pure talent, I rewatched Corey Ward quite a lot.
-
So... I'm not one to create threads here, but who do y'all think is the biggest dark horse this season (considering, of course the ones still remaining post-KO's).
-
I usually choose one horse to follow through the season. This time for me is Corey. He's really talented and emotional. Hands down my favorite audition this year. But I do have a terrible luck, though. My only snowflake to actually get it was Maelyn, the rest is just a disaster.

I expected today to be rough, but this episode has been really lackluster
