The coaches performance was so trashy, but so funny I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. I mean, Blake and Kelly just don't take themselves seriously. I'm pretty sure they would have done something like this for free if booze was involved. John just doesn't care anymore. ... Nick's voice was terrible, however. Even though I was a pre-teen during the Jonas Brothers fever, they never clicked with me. They still don't.

Perhaps you should give it a try. Idol's first season is one of the best things I've ever seen on television and it's a mass media historical landmark. It's like watching SNL's first/second season. They were just doing their thing and slowly producing a phenomenom. Nobody had any idea.

Well, I don't wanna cloud this forum with discussions that aren't related to spoilers for The Voice S20. But primarily Idol season 1 was somewhere between Justin Guarini and Tamyra Gray (?), at first. KC's audition didn't aired, she only made an appearance later in the competition and wasn't even a judges pick. The public voted for her out of the blue and everybody was shocked but didn't complain, because she wasn't bad. She grew during the competition and then A MOOOMENT LIKE THIIISSSS.

Kelly loves a dark horse, considering she was one herself during idol. And even though Corey might be fodder, he's going furthest than people we though was a lock for the finale. That being said, anything can happen.

Well, that's an oldie. Basically, Ryan Tedder wrote two songs around the same period: Already Gone and Halo. One he sold to Kelly, the other, of course, went to Beyoncé. Considering the songs are very similar, Kelly didn't wanted on her album but the label forced her to release as a single. She still sings the song, but there's a bit of bitterness on her part.

Hell Yeah, Corey singing Already Gone and being approved by the KWEEN herself. Not that Kelly is a fan of the song, considering the controversies surrounding it, but still. I'm yet to decide my snowflake for the season, but I'm definitely looking out for this performance.

It's a possibility. But I wonder if Kelly would suggest this song, though. During her interview with Garth Brooks she talks about how much The Dance moved her, after the divorce. To the point she even wrote a song inspired by The Dance for her next album. I don't know if she would be ok with the chance of crying on stage Lain Roy audition style. But well, it's been awhile and it's a great song either way.
