  1. Kelly Clarkson is just such a great person and musical artist. She is just perfect. There isn't anything she can't do well in. It would be cool if Kelly Clarkson did some songs for an album in the future with Christina Aguilera, Cher, Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Alicia Keys, Bebe Rexha, Carrie Underwood, Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Bieber.
  2. 1. Michael Johns 2. Rickey Smith 3. Leah LaBelle 4. Nikki McKibbin 5. Joanne Borgella 6. Marque Lynche 7. Paula Goodspeed 8. Alexis Cohen 9. Danny Parker 10. Jessika Baier 11. Haley Smith There have been a number of American Idol contestants who have died so young and I think this is a good thread for people to write about them. Like favorite performances, songs, videos, etc. Anyone can share anything they want in here about those contestants. This thread is being made so it doesn’t seem like we are talking about other American Idol contestants in the thread for Nikki McKibbin who recently passed away. If there is an American Idol that passed away that wasn’t mentioned in this post, then you can also add their name in this thread.
  3. Also, Joanne Borgella and Marque Lynche. I know they weren’t finalists, but they were semi finalists.
  4. Nevermind. I think I just found out what the cause of death could have been from a quote on a website. “Many of you already know something is wrong. The love of my life Nikki Sadler suffered an aneurysm on Wednesday. She would already be gone, but she’s an organ donor and has been kept on life support to make that possible. That shouldn’t be a surprise to us. Even at the end she is still giving. She was so loved that I know thousands of you will be grieving with us. There are only a few hours left for me to hold her hand and kiss her forehead. The current Covid situation won’t allow the huge service that she deserves, but but I would like to offer the opportunity to honor her. She will be taken to the OR at 3:00 am Central time to give her final gift. You may know she practically worshiped Stevie Nicks. Before they begin, they will play Landslide for her one last time. If you are able, you can pause at 3:00 and listen to it with her. She will know. She loved so many of you and I know you loved her too.” This is where the quote is from. https://deaddeath.com/death/nikki-mckibbin-death-tributes-idol-season-1-contestant-dead/ Sponsored
  5. Nikki McKibbin has just died recently. It's so sad that she died so young. Nikki McKibbin is the American Idol finalist that finished in 3rd on American Idol Season 1. That is the same season that Kelly Clarkson won.
  6. R.I.P. Nikki McKibbin. She was definitely one of the best contestants ever on that show. Does anyone know what the cause of death was yet? It's still sad regardless. I just wanted to know if anyone knew that yet.
  7. Yes she was on American Idol Season 9, American Idol Season 10, and American Idol Season 11. American Idol Season 9 - Almost made the Top 24 just like Tori Kelly was also from her season. Tori Kelly apparently didn’t make it to the Top 24 because she didn’t want to sign a contract to work with Simon Cowell. American Idol Season 10 - Didn’t even make it to Hollywood. American Idol Season 11 - Made it to Hollywood Week, but didn’t make the Las Vegas round.
  8. Yeah I see what you mean. Hollywood Records aren’t really giving the support the singers signed to their labels need.
  9. I'm not worried. I think he has a decent chance at getting a good album out. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
  10. Comparisons aren't necessary in my opinion. Both are great singers and we should be happy of the accomplishments of both of them. I'm sure he will release an album when he is ready. I said the comparisons thing to you because you are comparing how well Maddie did with selling copies of her album to what Laine might be able to do. I don't feel that it should be treated as a competition.
  11. There's no denying how talented Maddie Poppe is. I think it would be great to hear her do songs on an album with Colbie Caillat, Bebe Rexha, Julia Michaels, Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz, OneRepublic, Justin Bieber, and Lukas Graham. I used Colbie Caillat as one of the artists because I remember how great the duet that Maddie Poppe did with her of Bubbly was. I mean think of what they can do together for a new song. Bubbly and Rainbow Connection were for sure two of my favorite performances that Maddie did on American Idol.
  12. I really love Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson as a couple. They just are great together. It would be awesome if they did a song together in the future for an album. Both of their voices would just work together so well for a song.
  13. Yes that is exactly the point I'm making. Of course there are a number of people that didn't win from the Fox Version of American Idol to have success, but not ABC.
  14. I don't even know who that is, but no it's not. I was just making a point that she is the first person from the ABC reboot of American Idol to have some success with her career. I compared her to Maddie Poppe because she was the winner of American Idol on Gabby Barrett's season. I have nothing against Maddie Poppe. She's a great singer. One of my favorite performance of Maddie Poppe's on American Idol was Rainbow Connection.
  15. I heard Adam Lambert's newest album Velvet and I really like it. It's his best one yet. Given how great of a singer Adam Lambert is, it would be cool to see him do songs in the future with Katy Perry, Gloria Gaynor, Janelle Monae, Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Bebe Rexha, P!nk, Chris Daughtry, The Rolling Stones, My Chemical Romance, Machine Gun Kelly, Lukas Graham, Stevie Wonder, and Troye Sivan.
  16. I still remember the day like it was yesterday when he won American Idol. I can't wait to hear his debut album. He is definitely an American Idol contestant I like and I think he has the potential to really succeed in the music business.
  17. Carrie Underwood is just such a gift to this world and she has a great voice. She really goes all out with her performances. I really want to hear more music from her and think it would be cool if she got to do songs with any of these artists in the future: Gabby Barrett, Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift, Stevie Nicks, Loretta Lynn, Sheryl Crow, Gwen Stefani, P!nk, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Dan + Shay and Flo Rida.
  18. It would be so awesome if she got to work with these artists on future songs: Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Tori Kelly, Kelsea Ballerini, Justin Bieber, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Nick Jonas, and Keith Urban.
  19. Gabby Barrett may not have won American Idol, but she has accomplished so much more than Maddie Poppe and is way more recognized and famous now than Maddie Poppe.
  20. She won the same award that Taylor Swift won years ago. If that is not a sign for major success coming her way, then I don't know what is.
  21. Oh I didn't know that. I like Alison Krauss. She's a good singer. Is there a singer that Scotty McCreery hasn't done a song with yet that you would want to see him do a song with? For females, I was thinking Carrie Underwood, The Chicks, Maren Morris, and Kelly Clarkson. For males, I was thinking Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, and Chris Stapleton.
  22. Who Would You Like To See (Post American Idol Contestants) Have Featured In A Song With Them or Which Artists Do You Want To Have A Post American Idol Contestant Be Featured In A Song? With the most recent American Idol Alumni Gabby Barrett having a song with famous singer and songwriter Charlie Puth, it got me thinking that maybe there should be way more collaborations like that. It's makes for entertaining music and it helps artists get quickly recognized and start on a path of becoming famous. Gabby Barrett isn't the only contestant to ever do that. She is the only one from the ABC Reboot of American Idol to do it. Here are who some of the well known FOX American Idol Alumnis have had featured on songs with them. And my question basically is who would you guys like to see American Idol Contestants have featured in a song (As in on their album) with them and which artists not from American Idol would you like to have an Artists who were featured on songs on the American Idol Contestant's Albums Kelly Clarkson (Tamyra Gray, Jason Aldean, Kara DioGuardi, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, and John Legend) She was featured on songs for albums of Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Dan + Shay, Penatonix, Josh Groban, John Legend, Jewel, Martina McBride, Robbie Williams, and Blake Shelton.
