omg yes, Katie runs and low notes were insane! the most consistent contestant i can think of from that season

imo Mary Kate got the better song. but maybe some would disagree

i don’t think it’s just a coincidence because this happens frequently with songs done on the voice. however it’s not a spoiler because there are songs she does that aren’t from the voice and even if we knew it was from the voice we wouldn’t know who did it.

i loved her blind audition! however her battle wasn’t as strong to me, and although i was super impressed by her big notes in her knockout, the first half had issues. grace has also impressed me most in her blind, but she stayed reasonably consistent for the rest of the rounds. noivas i don’t like too much, mary kate has a wonderful tone but otherwise there are issues, rachel has an excellent voice but hasn’t stuck out to me in the battles and knockouts

i wanna see some actual rock songs, some of the ones suggested are just pop songs which isn’t bad but yeah i’d like dream on, crazy on you, alone — i know they’re overdone but a strong cover especially of the first or last would be a big moment

enunciation was a concern for me but she improved on that in her knockouts.. not sure i would call her the best but she is def one of the bests

glad you loved it! i’m kind of surprised you were for the whistle note as a countey fan but i guess some of the people you like are in pop-country. to me, her whistle notes feel kind of out of place in the songs but this fit better than in mississippi girl i think. i rather dislike the comments about this performance being too pageant-y (i actually thought that little move she did was really fun) but they’re mostly from Grace fans who are probably intimidated by Holly’s iconicness so i suppose it doesn’t matter

fwiw i think Spensha had some great performances on the show so i’ll enjoy them tragic that she’s apparently bigoted (bc i imagine that’s why you’re upset, not that she’s conservative). i could share more thoughts but istersay probably already thinks this is too much
