With each round it's becoming clearer why she was one of Kelly's picks for the top 8. She's insane!

Honestly, I thought Holly had a really stunning battle. She had some powerful moments and the high harmonies with Katie were great. Only problem for me was enunciation and even some of her vowel sounds. Song ideas? I feel like they have kind of different styles within country (Grace feels more classic, restrained, whereas Holly feels powerhouse, with a tone that makes her lean pop). Both have very clean, smooth vocal textures though.

Hmm... I do think that Kala and Rachel had stronger performances than ALI, but I don't think by that much. Kala's second half felt rushed and Rachel's performance felt for a while that it lacked flavour (though it was technically very well-done). ALI also had some issues that I think place her a little below but I didn't consider it to be an egregious mistake. Anyway, none of them made it past the playoffs, so I guess my point doesn't matter.

honestly would be happy w/ that based on what we've seen so far. Grace, Holly, Sorelle are my favorites of the top 8 rn and I'd love to see any of them win.

ideal panel for me, obviously would never happen bc they must have >=2 men as coaches + probably need someone who people perceive as "more country," imo would be Camila (pop) / JHud (r&b, powerhouse) / Kelsea (country) / Lady Gaga (pop). rock gets no representation but i don't think they really care about that. - camila, kelsea are witty, competitive - jhud is just a vibe generally and i love her enthusiasm for singers - lady gaga is a light to everyone tbh

this isn't specific to you, i've seen a lot of people say this so i just wanted to share my thoughts i haven't actually seen any of chance's decisions that have been aired that were bad? i think controversial ones were Sorelle vs. Manasseh, Ray vs. NOIVAS, Ray vs. NariYella, but I think all of the results were justified. Sorelle was strong + Manasseh got the playoffs pass, Ray approached the battle song in a way that fit it way more than NOIVAS imo, and Ray had a good, easy song choice while NariYella had a more challenging one. i'm curious, for all of y'all saying that he's made a bunch of terrible decisions, which decisions were egregious to you?

Tasha’s KO is one of the strongest so far. like it’s extremely good. not only does she show range and dynamics i LOVE her stylistic choices like the way she phrased “that sad earthly scene” it’s soooo good. i get that her tone might be grating to some but i was so impressed w this and loved the flavor she added to it

so excited to see a fellow hater on the forums! i try to keep my hateful thoughts to myself but i’m so excited for this also 100% u said exactly how u felt about sheer element in better words than i could’ve. i kept saying it was too smooth or like overly sanitized or smth but what you said abt their voices just not working for this song was i think what needed to be said really enjoying these write ups

apart from Chance’s tired phrases, he does give a Alicia-esque serene vibe that I enjoy but at the same time he reacts very visibly to performances which is fun
