Episode 5. The #TeamWaffle member within me needed that episode I would rate it C/C+. There wasn’t any mindblowing audition, but I don’t recall any bad one so it evens out.

Awari was good as well.

I’m late but caught up to Denisha. I really enjoyed it, she has a really cool tone! Not a fan of the song choice but she made it work.

Something that Idol has going for it this season is Cassandra, who is basically my dream contestant in terms of tone and artistry. She literally sang one of my favorite songs from my favorite band (Killers) while reminding me of one of my favorite singers (Florence) in her blind, lol. I watched her audition (+Anilee’s) a hundred times, something I can’t say for any Voice contestant this season. I’m enjoying The Voice more because their taped rounds’ format is simply superior to Idol, but in the future I might give the edge to Idol, which usually improves in the live rounds (AI17 excluded).

My opinion = logic Other people’s opinions = bias Come on We are all very biased, as much as we like to pretend we are not (I’ll include myself here as well)

Good, but not very exciting.

Now that the auditions from both shows are pretty much over, I wanted to know people’s thoughts about both shows going head to head for the 4th time in a row (which one are you liking better, cast, variety, etc...) PS: I’m aware this will be posted in TV subforum, so I expect some bias towards The Voice (that’s why I’m not posting a poll)

That should have been the Top 3, for sure. Which brings me to my next unpop (I think this is unpop?) opinion: Adam C has one of the strongest pre-lives runs from any country singer on the show.

This has to be it.

Watch Jordan and Jeffery’s runs back to back. The gap isn’t as huge as some people think it is. And believe it or not, I like Jordan better than Jeffery. But it lowkey drives me nuts when people act like S9 was Jordan and everyone else.
