  1. Pamela Anderson Pamela Anderson has been on like 1000 seasons of Dancing with the Stars and she's been bad in all of them. But I will focus on her US journey. She was first on Season 10 with Damian Whitewood who I forgot was on the US version because he's Australian. She was then partnered with Tristan MacManus in the All-Star Version. She outlasted her stay on season 10 but was eliminated first in the All-Star Season. Anderson is most known for being a Playmate and for Baywatch. She's also more recently known for being Julian Assange's #1 fan. That's not really a good look for her considering that he's very much a whole dumpster of garbage. So for that and generally not being good at dancing I am eliminating her.
  2. As a gift to Dee and also because I’m rich I will buy and use another Max Revive on Haunter
  3. I’ll do the write ups later today if nobody else gets to them first!
  4. Suzanne Somers Suzanne Somers, former Three's Company and Step by Step star, was on the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars and she was partnered with Tony Dovolani. Poor Tony. He got his Mirrorball and then was relegated to exclusively the 60+ female contestants. Suzanne was perfectly fine and was on the bad end of mediocre. Again never finishing as the worst of the week but leaving in the 5th week was probably fitting for her. You can argue that maybe she deserved to stay a week longer and swap places with Patti Labelle but it's not that big a deal. BUT more pressing. She peddles snake oil treatments to serious diseases like cancer and went on record to say that the Sandy Hook shooter went on his shooting spree due to the level of toxins in his diet. That's pretty inexcusable. Saving: Karamo Brown
  5. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was a contestant on Season 5 of Dancing with the Stars and he was paired with Karina Smirnoff. He was not very good but he wasn't the worst and was eliminated in week 5 placing 9th. But nobody cares that Floyd Mayweather did DWTS. In fact I'm sure if you asked people about it they would be surprised. In fact if you ask people about Floyd Mayweather they will respond they know he's a boxer and a pretty substantial subset will know he's a boxer who beats women. According to Wikipedia between 2002 and 2011 Floyd Mayweather has five separate instances of domestic assault and just ordinary assault allegations and convictions. That's startling. But like I mentioned with Antonio Brown. There's no photos or video evidence. And he's good at a violent sport. We allow this to happen because we expect it to happen. Nobody is shocked when a man who plays a violent sport for a living beats the shit out of his partners, especially if his partners are black women. As long as he entertains us and makes us money it's fine. Floyd Mayweather is scheduled for an exhibition match against one of the Youtuber Paul brothers in February because this man and this sport doesn't care about reputation. It cares about money.
  6. Oh my freaking god. You have to be either a complete idiot or a racist to try and equate the Black Lives Matter protests which largely were peaceful and escalated by police force to what happened today. There were protests and riots because police kill black people without consequences. The same police that have no fear or hesitation in using tear gas, rubber bullets, mace, parading tanks down residential streets etc for the last 6 years and years and years before that had no problem letting a group of white supremacist Trump following terrorists storm the Capitol. These people rioting today were following the orders from a president who refuses to concede power. Who wants to peddle conspiracy theories about an election that his supporters in the Congress have entertained for too long. These are people who went to tear down the Capitol and intimidate Congresspeople certifying the election results because they don't believe that black people and other people of color should be allowed to influence presidential results. This is on Donald Trump. Who said in Charlottesville that there were "good people on both sides" who today still told the terrorists storming the Capitol that he still loved them. He is who he said he was since the beginning. Anybody who is surprised that it has come to this hasn't been paying attention. Because it had already come to this in August 2017 and in Michigan in October. This is Facebook which has allowed misinformation and disinformation to spread uncontrolled on its platform because it gets clicks and views. This is Twitter which has refused to deplatform Trump. But mostly this is Donald Trump and his white supremacist supporters whose racism is endemic to their beliefs and their actions.
  7. save hope solo cut floyd mayweather and rocco dispirito
  8. I think Drew asked a while back what was the harm in entertaining these people’s fear of fraudulence in the election. This is the harm. This should have been shut down literally months ago and now you have white terrorists storming the Capitol. Congrats.
  9. SHOULDA GIVEN ME MY MONEY MITCH!!!!!
  10. I am more passionate about sports than DWTS. All my remaining write ups will be 100 words even.
  11. As an addendum I hate Derek Fisher because to me it feels like he views the WNBA as a consolation prize for not being a good enough coach for the WNBA. That he lucked out on getting a coaching job for one of the most talented and highly regarded teams in the league. While pretty much every other male coach had exclusively worked their way up through women's basketball either college or the WNBA or had a pretty highly regarded coaching resume.
  12. Derek Fisher Two Sharna partners in a row for me. Derek Fisher was on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars where he was partnered with Sharna Burgess and for purely sport reasons I HATE him. He was completely mediocre the entire time which is the story of his entire life and career and they placed 11th. Yes I know he was a 5x NBA Champion but three times he was on the Kobe Bryant/Shaq Lakers and the other two he was with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Like. Sir. That's like being the 4th starter on the LeBron/Dwayne Wade/Chris Bosh Heat. It's like being the 5th starter on the Steph Curry/Klay/KD/Draymond Warriors. Debbie Gibson and Barbara Corcoran were robbed simply by placing lower than Derek Fisher because at least their bad dances were memorable. Derek Fisher's bad dances exist. Just like he does. AND YET. He keeps failing into head coaching positions. Obviously first to the LOLKnicks from 2014-2016 where he had a STUNNING 0.294 winning percentage. Somehow he got a second season with the Knicks despite winning fewer than 20 games. There are 82 games in the NBA season. He lost more than 62 games. He was fired in his second season with the Knicks after 54 games. They couldn't even wait another 28 games to fire him. Somehow this made him all the more appealing as a coaching candidate for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. Sidebar. I love Women's Sports. My favorite league is the WNBA. My real twitter name is Dr. The Only Good Sports are Women's Sports. I buy the WNBA season pass each year. This year before the WNBA including very prominently the Atlanta Dream against Dream owner Kelly Loeffler encouraging Georgia voters to support Rev. Raphael Warnock he was 4th in the polls. They did something incredible and helped bolster the efforts of grassroots organizers in the field in Georgia. In terms of social change and justice in sports, the WNBA has always been at the forefront. And they also the sport is just incredible. I have a lot of thoughts but unfortunately the only WNBA player in this rankdown is Arike Ogunbowale so hopefully in a long time I'll get to talk about her. End Sidebar. Now here's the thing. Derek Fisher in his two years as head coach of the LA Sparks has a winning record finishing 1st in the West and 3rd in the west in 2019 and 2020 respectively. However, the Sparks are one of the WNBAs most talented teams with both Ogwumike sisters, Chelsea Gray, and Candace Parker. In 2020 he got resurgent Brittany Sykes and got Riguna Williams to continue on her 2019 trend of scoring points. Candace Parker showed people that she showed no signs of aging and in addition to her team leading average of 14.7 points per game she was voted by media as Defensive Player of the Year. When you have a basketball team that is this good and talented you don't have to do much. Throw him on The Liberty or The Dream and we will see how good a coach he is. But despite all that talent. Two years in the playoffs they've been horribly embarrassed. And both years by the Connecticut Sun. In year 1 of his tenure in a must win game, he benched Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike AKA the two best players on the team for the ENTIRE fourth quarter. They ended up losing that game 56-78. And were out in the semifinals of the playoffs. In 2020 they were bounced in round 2 after losing 59-76. There is something deeply wrong with your coaching if your team is consistently dominant in the regular season and falls apart by huge margins in the post season. Because it's not that they lost, it's the way they lost. They weren't even competitive. After the 2019 season it was revealed that the LA Sparks essentially only looked at Derek Fisher for coach. In 2020 they promoted him to GM. They promoted him in a season where their three best players (Candace Parker, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chelsea Gray) are all free agents. Good luck. Let's see what he can do with a roster without all three of them. Here's some fun tweet quotes from people about Derek Fisher. "2 yrs ago the sparks had the deepest roster in the wnba hall of famers, mvps, dpoy, & star rookies & derek fisher couldn't win a playoff series" "Derek Fisher is the best head coach in the WNBA tbh. Who’s doing it like him? ⓘ 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴" "1. Cheryl Reeve ...... 12. Derek Fisher" "Remember when Derek Fisher benched her during an elimination game of the WNBA finals.... " "I think the #Sparks front office is left with a clear choice: you can have Candace Parker or you can have Derek Fisher but you can't have them both. " "Derek Fisher had his second chance and he needs to be fired. This performance was beyond embarrassing and LA had a problem all season long not playing through their best players enough. #WNBA" "I wonder if the Sparks will finally sack Derek Fisher now. Dude's in over his head. A waste of those players' talents having them play under an incompetent coach. #WNBA #lasparks" Anyway, the list goes on. This probably does not explain why I hate Derek Fisher so much but it just burns me so deep in my soul that this mediocre man keeps failing to more power in the WNBA. Under him I know that the Sparks will never be able to compete in the postseason. And Candace Parker has worked too hard for too long to just keep getting freaked over by shit like this (please attend my next article on why Geno Auriemma sucks balls for essentially kicking CP off the US Women's Basketball team for not being a Nike Athlete and playing college at Tennessee). I just want the best always for Candace Parker and I hope that 2021 sees her free from Derek Fisher's mediocrity. And I hope Chelsea Gray and the Ogwumike sisters follow. Also Derek Fisher is like "LOL I totally can be GM I know all about CBAs from when I was President of the NBA players union" well Derek Fisher in his role deeply freaked over other NBA players during his tenure there so he is just an awful person. And also probably a loan shark.
  13. My wifi for some reason has become incredibly slow so if I don’t get my Derek Fisher write up within 45 min please nobody cut him or Von Miller
  14. Antonio Brown #Bless Alex for these nominations that allow me to cut two of my least favorite people in sport. One for sports reasons and one for outside of sports reasons. It doesn't take a big brain to realize that Antonio Brown is the out of sports reasons. There's this nasty truth about sports which is that if you are good enough and there was never any video nor a criminal conviction, you can have your redemption story. You will always be given another chance. Antonio Brown was traded by the Steelers to the Raiders in 2019 for what seemed like pennies compared to what Antonio Brown was worth just because he was a "diva." I don't like giving the Steelers props (after all their quarterback is also a rapist) but hindsight is 20/20 and they were right. Later that season before any games were played the Raiders released Antonio Brown supposedly because he called a coach or the GM a cracker. I forget who. That's pretty low and a way to avoid paying Antonio Brown because we didn't know what he had done off the field. I mean every team already knew about the incidents that lead him to be a trade option for the Steelers despite being the best wide receiver in the league including an April 2018 incident where he tossed furniture out his window nearly hitting a child and where he was speeding 100mph on a freeway. But those weren't enough to deter teams like the Raiders and then eventually the Patriots who saw only his talent. Then came September 2019. First, Brittney Taylor, Antonio Brown's former trainer, accused him of sexual assault. Then a few days later a second woman accused Brown of sexual misconduct and sexual assault. This wasn't enough to deter the Patriots who still played Brown a single game in the second week of the Patriots season. See "allegedly" doesn't get you cut from a team when you are the best wide receiver in the league the year before. However, on September 20th, text messages from Brown to the second woman were released where he was clearly threatening her. This caused Antonio Brown to be released from the Patriots. A few months later in early 2020 in the before times, Antonio Brown was involved in other cases including battery and burglary which he was charged and eventually pleaded no contest receiving probation and community service. This should have really been enough to end Antonio Brown's career. But no remember Antonio Brown is exceptionally good at running routes and catching balls. And in his brief time in New England he made a powerful friend - Tom Brady. Tom Brady who pleaded Antonio Brown's case to Bruce Arians who despite being one of the few coaches ever recognized for actually being cool to women and hiring them on his staff, despite just a few months earlier said that there would be no place for a guy like Antonio Brown to be on any team he coached, gave in. And in October 2020, barely a year after the initial accusations of rape and sexual assault, Antonio Brown was a Buccaneer. A Buccaneer who will be going to the playoffs. Tampa Bay didn't need Antonio Brown, they already had one of the most dynamic receiving duos in the league with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. But you see, Tom Brady wanted Antonio Brown. So they got him. Despite everything. Because Antonio Brown is good at catching footballs. And thus everything before can be forgotten. In this article from excellent sports reporter Diana Moskovitz (https://defector.com/antonio-brown-gets-to-redeem-himself-because-he-helps-your-team-win/) which is behind a paywall it ends with this: "What all these coaches, players, and team executives know is this: Winning does take care of everything. That’s why college football is being played in cities with COVID-19 outbreaks, and that’s why Brown will be back. The easy answer would be to wave it off as the same old sports problem. But sport isn’t that complicated, or that special, nor is it somehow magically divorced from our everyday nightmares, even if it is sold as an escape from them. The Buccaneers know that their fans will forgive everything if they win, an utterly unremarkable trait as every fanbase does that in every sport. Hell, if the Bucs win enough, I can already see the text messages that I’ll get from friends in the Tampa Bay area, telling me they believe Brown is a changed man and, also, did I see that amazing catch he just made? You can feign shock, if you feel like, but it all fits within the great American forgiveness doctrine: You can get redemption if you can make me money." Antonio Brown was on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. He was paired with Sharna. They made it to top 5. He wasn't very bad but he wasn't very good.
