Sure, as long as the other rankers don’t mind.

once I get some free time this weekend I'm gonna pull little photocards for all the characters on the front page like I do for ANTM because that will help out identifying them all. Some names aren't said out loud on screen but the character is immediately recognizable with a picture.

Dak Ralter

Pointless rebel pilot feels like an appropriate first boot. The heroes and villains are generally very complex in Star Wars so neither would make appropriate first cuts. So it's randos that make the most sense to dump first. I recently rewatched Episode 5, his only movie, and I don't remember this guy at all. He looked up to Luke and was looking forward to fight with him only to get gunned down in the Battle of Hoth lolpwnd. He didn't even get a name in the movie. He was credited as "Dak (Luke's Gunner)". Thanks to the extended universe his character was slightly expanded on so he could become more of a character. But not much since his wookiepedia article is still one of smallest ones I've read.

Save Watto because he's the only name I actually remembered without having to google so for that reason he alone he can survive.

Kitster

He was Anakin's best friend in Episode 1 before Anakin ran off to become a Jedi, and then eventually become a Sith Lord. I wonder if they still exchanged Christmas cards after he became Darth Vader? Though thanks to the ever expanding extended universe I guess we do learn more about him outside of Episode 1 oh I wonder what the wookipedia says he look like-

Ahhhhhhh!

Maybe I'll take this time to catch up on the extended universe and figure out who all these people are. But I also want to rewatch all the movies. So that's the top priority. Also watch the movies in the films game. Also have a social life. Also work. Also watch my millions of other shows. So we'll see! Sorry to Kister for this half-assed writeup. I just genuinely do not care what some childhood friend of Anakin goes off to do. Throw him in S2 of Andor and maybe I'll care though.

Pagetti Rook

Queequeg.png

Pagetti Rook was a Weequay male who served as Jabba's skiff guard on Tatooine, and escorted Luke, Han and Chewbacca to be fed by the sarlacc in Return of the Jedi, which was the only movie in which he made an appearance. Jabba ordered him to push Luke to the end of the skiff’s gangplank. He was eventually killed by Luke during the battle. His weapon was called a BD-1 Cutter vibro-ax. His species were supposedly inspired by harpooner Queequeg from novel Moby-Dick. I was slightly terrified by him when I first watched the original trilogy as a kid. He basically looks like a Star Wars version of Uruk-Hai. His LEGO figure is quite amusing though. Still, an easy first cut.

General Pryde

latest_vihlbm.jpg

His full name is Enric Pryde, and he was a General in the First Order during First Order War against the Ressistance. His first appearance was in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. His flagship was called The Steadfast (First Order Star Destroyer). Pryde was the first person to find out about General Hux’s betrayal as the spy and was also responsible for his execution. He later took command over the Final Order fleet during the Battle of Exegol and died there as The Steadfast was destroyed by the Ressistance forces. He was like a plain copy of Grand Moff Tarkin to me, and there was nothing outstanding about his character.

Rune Haako

I think if I get COVID again I am going to spend the entire week when I'm not sleeping going through Wookiepedia. It has so much information, it's well curated, and it's so informational! That's why for likely most of this early set of noms, I'm just going to cut the characters with the shortest Wookiepedia entries or the least hot character. Unfortunately for Rune Haako he falls in to both categories. Rune Haako is a character from the prequel trilogy. He was a male Neimoidian official who was a Settlement Officer of the Trade Federation and died at the end of the Clone Wars. He was killed by the newly christened Darth Vader. That's cool. He is described as a "mean and greedy individual." It seems pretty fair that a character with this little information about him goes in the first round.

Orn Free Taa

Again, hotties only. Sorry Orn Free Taa but you are not my type. He is mostly a prequel character but plays a role in the Clone Wars animated series. I actually really like The Clone Wars. I think the series is pretty underrated. Anyway, Orn Free Taa is the kind of stereotypical greedy politician. He is only concerned with amassing wealth for himself which made him very unpopular with his home planet of Ryloth. He was a loyalist who supported Palpatine. After the war he retained his position in the senate so while he was a puppet he got to still hoard all his wealth. Yah, so just a scummy bad guy. An easy cut.

Try to make your write-ups longer, @Erestor. Write-ups need to be at least 100 words.

Sorry I did run a quick check just to make sure but I didn’t realize it was counting characters not words :dead:

Updated now.

Fode and Beed

Zam Wesell is the easiest save in this group. Like I knew her name beforehand. This leads every other character as a potential cut. I'm sure once we get down to like 100 characters that it's going to get harder and harder to make cuts, but as of right now every background character is a bit interchangeable. You might as well call them "Spacename Spaceman" and give them an occupation and BOOM. Star Wars character. Anyway, Fode and Beed's real name is Fodesinbeed Annodue and they are a Troig Podracing announcer. Each head acts as their own being with the red head going by Fode and the green one going by Beed. Their wookiepedia is MINISCULE. It literally is the opening paragraph and then "background" followed by the appearances links. Anyway, another fun fact about them is that they talk in two different dialects for their podracing commentary with Fode in basic and Beed in Huttese.

Bren Derlin

Honestly, it looks like I hate rebel pilots and if that becomes my reputation here I'm okay with that. I mean no shade to the rebel pilots, but in the grand scheme of things about 95% of them are irrelevant. They exist to die so Luke and the main peeps can have some plot armor. There was an occasional rebel pilot that got some inkling of complexity to make them slightly more interesting, before inevitably being killed off. It seems this one survived though, good for him! He also had a cool mustache. He fought in the Battle of Hoth of the Battle of Endor. I hope he had a good life after the war.
