Chris: Over the last few years, Lady A has been hit or miss for me as I felt that they been releasing the worst possible songs as their single since their Own The Night-era. But in 2019, they were able to release a song that reminded me why I became a fan of theirs, many years ago. This song is everything that I enjoyed about them - the lyrics, the melody, and their harmonies... Unfortunately the name controversy overshadowed this great song of theirs. 

 

Wallace: This is a really nice and emotional song from Lady A. It starts off soft but I do like the chorus and how the build up to it. Hillary and Charles sound very good, as usual - though I prefer Hilary's parts. Also why does that other guy never sing lead? I never see him singing, lol. But this is a really nice enjoyable song.

 

QK: It seems like everyone has very similar opinions on this song as we all ranked it roughly the same. It's a pretty good and 10 is a decent spot for it.

Lmaoo I kinda love seeing songs that we all rank around the same area, especially without even knowing it like with this Lady A song. :dead: With all those rankings in the decent but middling #7 through #12 spots, it makes sense for this to come in 10th.

Chris: I am a Taylor Swift stan so of course, I am going to rank this one high.  Anyway, from the moment that I listened to folklore following its release, Betty was one of my favourite due to its country influence which led to her return at the ACM where she performed an amazing live performance of this song. 

 

Wallace:  It was nice how Taylor had a bit of a return to the country music scene with this song. This isn't anywhere near amongst my favorite song(s) of hers, but it's a pretty song and her storytelling is very good here. It's probably one of those songs that will take some time to grow on me and it just hasn't quite done so for me. That was a case for a lot of her folklore/evermore songs. But it's a pretty and touching song.

 

QK: I was surprised to see that Diana only ranked this song 8 since she is probably the biggest Taylor stan in the group. The song is solid but not something I listen to a ton.

But I've always said I wasn't really much of a folklore or evermore fan.... but there are still Taylor songs I would rank high depending on the songs though. :haha: 

 

Anywho, I'm fine with "Betty" showing up. As I said, wasn't too fond of some of the folklore songs. Whenever we get to the country eras from Taylor, I'm sure she'll have plenty of winning contender songs. :yes:
