QK: While not necessarily my favorite Kelsea song it is up there some where so I am happy that it won. It's just such a fun song that I certainly have listened to a bunch of times. So our winners have all been different singers so far which is cool. Kelsea, Kacey, Maren, Carly are the winners so far which is a strong winners club so far which I am certain will expand in future seasons. 

 

 Wallace: 

It's kinda interesting for me how "I Hate Love Songs" made it to #3 for my rankings where I don't love this song as much as "Miss Me More," which I had at 6th - but I guess that shows I'm not as crazy about this group of songs as a whole.  But I do still really like and do consider this song amongst my favorite songs from Kelsea. I really like the bluesy sound this song has, which is kind of a different sound I'm used to from her.  I like how Kelsea mentions that she hates love songs (and yess she really does) but she loves the person who she is singing this song about. So it’s funny how she hates love songs but is essentially singing a love song.  But really, I like the sound, vibe of the song, her vocal delivery and emotional connection. Really good song from Kelsea, and I certainly see this being a lock for the Top 5. If not, then I'll be shocked. 

 

Chris:  I was so happy that she released this song as a single as it's one of my favourite from Legends, and the overall singles from that era were a bit of a letdown. Anyway, this song is a bop and it deserves all the love in the world. 

 

Steven: This is a cute and cheeky song. I like the arrangement here.

Congrats to Kelsea on winning with "I Hate Love Songs." I do really like the song and I was essentially rooting for anything in my Top 3 to win. So I'm good with this win, even though it's not the song I was hoping to win.

Fixed. That's the second year in a row I did that. Notepad doesn't fit all 100 songs on one screen you gotta scroll up to get all 100 copy and pasted properly. :dead:

But yeah it is true that Carrie does have plenty of chances to win. I'm sad/disappointed for "Cry Pretty," and that was certainly a blow to see lose. :( But I am still remaining hopeful that some of her standout/best singles can win in upcoming rounds. ❤️

It's kinda become a meme at this point to rank DC or Beyonce last. But that only started happening because a group of people rank all the country songs last.

Ooh I don't care that much at people's rankings as long as my favorite song of theirs/hers can make it to the end (although it did hurt with "Crazy in Love" as that's one of my all-time favorite songs :broken: ). I just didn't really get it because not all the people that rank country songs low are Beyonce/DC stans. So I would think other artists could get targeted for that too. 🤣 But it is what it is, I suppose. 

 

But at least this game gives country songs a redemption and chance to shine. ^_^

The biggest culprit is Lily who definitely is a Bey/ DC Stan but yes others aren't necessarily DC stans. But yes that's why I created this because it wasn't gonna happen there.

Ah okay, well at least I know now so that's some clarity there, at least. Very true there.
