I gave this some thought, and there’s only one that could be compared to a past winner, and I think it’s rather obvious.

Girl Named Tom - None, obviously.

 

Jeremy Rosado - Can't think of anyone similar enough to him.

 

Gymani - Tessanne's probably the closest, but their styles are very different.

 

Hailey Mia - Brynn Cartelli, duh.

 

Joshua Vacanti - I didn't watch S9, but mayyyybe Jordan Smith is the closest? Leaning none though.

 

Jershika Maple - None, I can't think of a female winner that is primarily gospel/RnB.

 

Holly Forbes - None.

 

Jim & Sasha - None.

 

Wendy Moten - I think Alisan might be the closest??? She didn't do much classic RnB/Soul though.

 

Paris Winningham - None.

 

Lana Scott - 20's country female.... Cassadee Pope? That doesn't feel quite right though.

This is really just for Hailey to Brynn comparisons lmao. Although to finalists as a whole, I get Addison vibes too. Maybe just me though. Also maybe Carter to Hailey, their tones sound a little similar to me, especially for the runs that she does.

 

Wendy to Alisan would be the next one for me.

 

Other than that, not really many winner similarities here.
