If this People's Choice Awards is similar to the one they have for general entertainment for decades, winners are contacted before the show. Many years ago when I watched generally the only celebrities that showed up were the winners & presenters. Basically, it was usually very easy to figure out who won the awards as long as you saw who attended. For the past several weeks, many country artists are announcing tours for next year. I could see Scotty announcing his own headlining tour for next year &/or being direct support for a big name. It's also possible that a new album will be released early next year so there maybe a few songs released before the release date. I assume the album will be released when the single is higher on the charts or about to peak which I could see around Feb. or Mar.
