I had a dream the other night (before we knew Wendy was singing an uptempo Aretha song) that Wendy performed an uptempo song next and she killed it, but it was “24k Magic” by Bruno Mars I remember thinking in my dream that it was a bus, but a) we know Wendy can’t be bussed and b) she got Blake up dancing. Not saying I’m trying to speak all of that into existence, but maybe that reaction with the Aretha song

I completely agree. Wendy has performed two slower/ballad songs (3 if you count Ain’t No Way) in a row now so I was actually hoping her next song would be uptempo anyway so this is music to my ears. Her blind proved she can kill uptempo and the judges/casual voters will eat it up. Kyla, Rose, etc. had uptempos sprinkled in on their run and were fine. She needs a “moment” song in the bloodbath, not now

Wendy once again coming through in Top 3 of performances for the night for me (and she isn’t #3 or #2 ). I find it really interesting that during the pre-lives, she showcased her upper register/belts more, and now she’s utilizing her head voice/falsetto more. She’s showing off how much of an instrument her voice truly is and I am so here for it

I completely agree with both of these. I think Shadale was just overshadowed with her performance during PO. There wasn’t a lot of “moments” like Jershika created with her song. But I don’t think it’s clear-cut that Shadale is in the bottom this week based on song choices/actual performances

I could see Shadale escaping the B3 since it’s dedication week and we all know she’s capable of delivering another emotional performance. This in turn could mean that all 3 Team Legend members survive to Top 11 which could be a shock for some

I was actually thinking yesterday about who could sing “Be Alive.” I think if someone was to individually sing it, I’d say Gymani or Jershika because the runs are built into the song. But Shadale could bring out all the emotions in it as well so that could definitely be a moment and powerful. And her range is so good

Ok I’m really bad at assigning songs but I just wanted to say you have taste for adding Jhené on here even if Minivan would go up in flames (love to see it) if anyone ever performed “P*$$Y FAIRY” I’ve been waiting for someone to perform her on the show. She has a song called “Promises” that would be perfect for dedication week

All I’m gonna say is, Wendy supremacy from this point forward I’m so happy for Jershika for turning that bus attempt into a PV. And I always had a feeling both her and Shadale would make it through so that has me pleasantly happy. Hard to lose Libianca, Samuel, and Bella all in one night when they were arguably some of the most interesting artists (although admittedly only Libianca delivered last night). This season could play out in so many ways

No matter what happens tonight, I just wanted to say that watching Libianca’s journey has been so much fun. She has quickly become one mod my overall favorite artists from the show, and who I am most excited about this season. I love that she has stayed true to herself, even if that doesn’t gel with the stereotypical audience. Her performance last night was everything I could have wanted from her and I hope we get to see more! Also “Woman” is one of my favorite Doja songs so hearing Libianca’s rendition was such a wonderful surprise

Libianca’s song features Afro-beats. She was probably referencing the fact that the direction she wants to go is with more Afro-futuristic/beat driven music.

PV: Wendy PV: Paris CS: Libianca WC: Lana Wendy will coast through (as expected). I think Paris has picked up enough steam that he could get a PV as well since he seems popular with Minivan. I’m holding out hope that Blake saves Libianca. To me, she is the most unique and interesting artist we have this season and she delivered tonight. She knows herself and I think Blake respects that. A team of Wendy, Paris, and Libianca may be one of my favorite teams ever

I’m expecting her to either sing in another language (her living most of her life in Cameroon has been highlighted a lot) or her singing gospel. Or who knows, maybe she’s secretly a rapper

Hard to tell if she means surprise by song choice or surprise by showing off something that she hasn’t done yet, like when Toneisha whipped out the whistle notes. Either way, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. The emoji is a smirking face, so to me, I interpret that as her being confident in what she’s doing

I have a couple song suggestions that might not be good for the show (two haven’t been performed before) but I think Shadale could nail them: -“Dancing on my Own” by Robyn (this may be a little over done, but her singing a completely slowed down version would be so good). -“What Now” by Rihanna (one of her best ballads in my opinion and I’ve been dying for someone to perform it) -“A Mother’s Prayer” by K. Michelle (definitely the most out there one but she could connect to the message and deliver another story-telling performance)

Yes! Between Sandy and La’Porsha, Shadale would be in great company with a killer performance of it. Emotionally, I think she could nail it like her KO/how La’Porsha did on AI

The way I see it, Peedy/Paris both have the best chances of making it through only with PV2. Wendy is a lock for PV, and Blake seems connected with Libianca, so unless she somehow flops (I’m not speaking that into existence, she’ll kill it), she’ll be the CS. PV2 will come down to song choice and performance. If Paris decides to go the country route and kills it again, I think he could easily get it. If he goes more R&B/soul, he’ll most likely be compared to Wendy (depending on what she sings) and could be overshadowed. Peedy has lost a lot of steam, so i definitely don’t see him as a lock either

You’re right, let me not forget who I am You took the words out of my mouth. I was mostly leaning towards Hailey in my original post, but I haven’t been very impressed with Jeremy yet either. I basically agree with everything you said, pro or con, for both of them. I think Hailey is overhyped because of her age, and although she has done pretty well pre-lives, she hasn’t made an impact like some previous teens that have made it far (in my opinion). Jeremy could be a Kelly-favorite but Kymberli was not shook by his Run to You performance. I think if he tried to continue with another diva song, Gymani would outshine him. Right now I see Team Kelly as: PV: GNT PV: Jeremy/Gymani CS: Gymani/Jeremy/Hailey I think Gymani’s strongest chance is CS even though I do think she could get PV. If she does get PV, Jeremy is getting the CS with a small chance Hailey gets it to the team musically diverse. It will most likely come down to song choices and I’ve seen that both Gymani and Jeremy can perform live

Kelly mentioned that it was hard to pick between Gymani and Kinsey because they are similar to Kelly’s two sides as a music artist: country and pop-R&B. Gymani won the KO based on performances easily. I guess this is “unpop” but a lot of y’all seem to be writing off Gymani which I don’t get. Kelly loves her female powerhouses and so does the casual viewing audience. I’ve always seen Gymani as PV2/Coach Save (not saying this is set in stone, but it’s dangerous to ignore her). I think there’s another person on Kelly’s team that’s overhyped and doesn’t have as good of a chance getting through as some people think, but I’m not here to cause drama

For me, its been Wendy, GNT, Libianca, and Shadale. Shadale and Libianca clearly had emotional ties to their songs and they delivered them beautifully. And they’re songs that usually don’t scream “moment” either but they made them their own. Wendy can sing anything and Ain’t No Way is a tough song and she nailed it (like I expected). And GNT is GNT, I don’t think I have to say much since they covered their song before . I’m expecting Jershika to have a strong song choice. Jeremy has been getting decent treatment so he could be in for a strong round as well. Bella’s song doesn’t scream “her” to me but she’ll probably still kill it

Shadale has me crying on my lunch break and I have 3 more hours to get through That was one of the best performances of the season, and probably one of my overall top 5 knockouts. It’s one thing to sing something technically well, but to truly convey the emotions behind a song and have it get to every single person in the room is world class. Not to mention she looked amazing and she worked that stage. She’s going to be a force

I apparently need to do a better job reading . I definitely would have loved for Keisha to sing it if it had been out back then so I think Wendy would have a moment with it. I think it’s important that a black artist who likes to sing country too covers it for the real message of it. I don’t think anyone in the competition (or in many past seasons) can match Wendy’s range or vocal ability but that might just be me
