  1. But seriously though... what was Bodie's outfit? Like, it on one hand it was meant to be like 'sexy biker' sort of thing but on the other hand it was very bulky and there were green pants (which didn't mesh well with the jacket) The crowd definitely seemed to like it but it was weird.
  2. Lord help me I'm imagining Brayden singing "Fancy Like" after hearing that '#1 Country Song' Like, that would be awful
  3. Justin to Alyssa: My favourite performance from you was your blind audition where you sang Gwen's song-
  4. I don't know, but I think Gwen may save Alyssa if she doesn't get PV
  5. I agree with this in that I enjoyed Morgan's performance more than Omar. I don't know if she deserved to win (Omar is just a force of nature) but she's definitely worthy of a steal or some sort of comeback option like they did last season with Vaughn
  6. Omar Jose Cardona - Radioactive - 9.25 - That moment where he breathed into the mic was weird. I'm sure it's an acquired taste, but it just didn't work for me. Also, I think the arrangement of the song didn't allow him to go as big as he could have. Kymberli Joye's version of Radioactive is an example of pushing a song to it's farthest limits, while this performance didn't quite reach for the stars. These are just nitpicks though. He still did an amazing job, just not to the level he can do. Bryce Leatherwood - Colder Weather - 7.5 - Bryce's tone is usually very good at capturing the viewer, but I just don't feel he managed to do that here. It just felt bland, not to mention the fact that it wasn't a perfect performance in terms of technique. Kate Kalvanch - Anyone - 9.5 - When she reaches into the highest part of her voice, she really strikes gold. I also felt like she spaced out her vocals well, giving small amounts of impressive vocals at the start and building up to more. The only thing I didn't like was the arrangement of "Looking back on my life you're the only good I've ever done". It mellows down too much at the end, and I found myself disappointed with it. Still, that's personal preference (still affects my rating).
  7. Bodie - Better Now - 8.75 - Extremely solid vocal performance, with some very agile vocal runs. However, I felt like it took too long to ramp up. Kevin Hawkins - This Woman´s Work - 9.25 - I'm surprised at how many people don't like this. I agree with John, the contrast between the falsetto and chest voice was slightly off-putting, but that falsetto was heavenly. It's so easy to have imperfections within falsetto, but this sounded extremely clean (maybe that's the autotune though) Morgan Myles - What the World Needs Now is Love - 9.50 - It was good. She's undeniably a very seasoned vocalist, and there was nothing wrong with the performance. It just missed something that made it really stand out, though I can't put my finger on what that would be. Parijita Bastola - I´d Rather Go Blind - 7.75 - Ok, so, let's get this out of the way. You know the phrase "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight?" Well, Parijita brought a butter knife. It felt like she was showing vulnerability in a song that's meant to be aggressive. Did she sing it well? Of course, but it was way too tame, and that made it underwhelming. She should've switched her song with Valerie. Kique - Hey Ya! - 10 - We all knew this was going to be fire, and it was. It was precise, it was clean, and it was diverse. Rowan Grace - Vienna - 9.0 - I loved her tone, and how it can be powerful when it wants, but also sweet when it wants. However, I wonder if it was the best song choice. It wasn't as bad as Parijita's song choice, but there's a gold mine of potential to create a showstopper, instead of a pleasing performance.
  8. I didn't think this would be unpopular until I saw this battle ranked 7th out of 13 but... Valerie vs Dia is the best battle so far this season (and Morgan M vs Steven didn't work)
  9. I expected to love Justin vs Destiny, but after seeing Ali Caldwell's arrangement of 'No More Drama,' I honestly can't get behind the arrangement. They both did amazing, but I just felt like it could've been rearranged. Also, I wish I knew what Camila was thinking with "Country Rocket Man" and "The Two-Most Talented Vocalists Never Sing Together"
  10. And the weird thing is that they weren't always Geolocked. The episode 5 were geolocked for the first day, then we could watch them, then they were geolocked again, while Devix's was unlocked for legit a day. Who let their baby randomly smash the 'geolock' button?
  11. So, we've seen everyone on Camila's team except for 1 person (i think). Does that mean we can figure out who this is? I'll be honest, I haven't followed along with this season that much so I have no idea.
  12. Her performance was legit 10 seconds long we didnt even get a full chorus.
  13. These are all very good choices. I'm gonna add some more that I liked Auditions: Ethan Conway (Exile), Emily Jane Conidi (This Is Me), Melanie Cowmeadow (Never Let Me Go), Amber Reid (Butter), Cassidy Mackie (King of Wishful Thinking), and Theoni Marks (Easy on Me) Callbacks: Very skippable Battles: Jas vs Cassidy (Decode), Theoni vs Lachie (It'll Be Okay), and Celestial vs Jordan (Art of Love) Battles Singoff: Jordan Tavita (Dancing on my Own) Tbh I could recommend half of the season
  14. I remember a comment someone made about how a certain situation would be like Kane Brown winning over Aretha Franklin. Honestly, that fits very well here.
  15. And of course, Bella was one of the most deserving winners of all time.
  16. Are they still doing that whole 'pre-recorded winner segment' thing like they did last season? Because no one seems surprised at all
  17. Oh yeah for sure (I like Thando a lot too but I don't know if she has a chance). I don't know if Theoni could've given Rita a shot, but it is important to note that Theoni's audition did get onto the trending page on YouTube. She may not have won anyway, but there would've at least been some room for debate.
  18. Tbh I think Rita is treating The Voice more like a season of The Bachelor
