Me too. Oh, I think that one reason why they were more critical is because she was using a guitar instead of a piano and she wasn’t as comfortable with the guitar as she was with the piano.

Tomorrow night, I’ll be voting for Hailey, Jayna, Julia, Nya, Abi and McKenna, but the ones who are getting my text message votes are Abi (my favorite), Hailey and Jayna, with me voting for Hailey mainly to make sure that she is in the Top 20. Same for Jayna, although I think that she’s safer than Hailey.

I agree with both, but I think that Nya will make the Top 20. Quintavious? No.

I think that you’re definitely underestimating Abi. But we’ll see for sure after Sunday’s performance. And maybe I’m underestimating Emmy too.

Here’s my rankings, beginning with the top tier: 1. Abi — even with a somewhat shaky performance in the Showstopper round, the editing was sympathetic, since she had bronchitis. 2. Triston — he’s getting a great edit and he’s a male country singer. 3. K.B. — she’s also getting a good edit and she’s not overly pimped. 4. McKenna — she also has a great edit but her Showstopper performance was shaky due to a questionable song choice. Now for those in the second tier: 5. Odell — best singer of the guys and he has a good edit. 6. Will — he’s a country guy but he doesn’t have as strong an edit as Triston. 7. Julia — she’s the best of the female powerhouse vocalists but girls like her haven’t won since Season 12. 8. Jack — he’s the last guy to get a good edit. Now for the third tier: 9. Emmy — while she’s got a good edit due to being Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter, she also has confidence issues. 10. Kayko — he has a decent edit but not as good as the guys above him. 11. Mia — she’s a country girl and country singers tend to go far. 12. Mackenzie — I think that he’ll be more popular than Blake. Now for the fourth tier: 13. Jayna — I think she’s more likely to get a Wildcard spot than Nya. 14. Ajii — he’s probably most likely to get a Wildcard slot among the guys. 15. Hailey — I want to put her higher but she’s been shafted by the editing. 16. Blake — he began well but his editing tanked in Hollywood. Now for the fifth tier: 17. Nya — she’s quite a performer and singer but minivan hates her. 18. Roman — he’s not as strong as Odell. 19. Jennifer — she’s got a unique tone but it’s not to everyone’s taste. 20. Kennedy — she’ll squeak by the first cut. And now the final tier: 21. Jordan — he’s cute but his song choice concerns me. 22. K-Blocks — her audition wasn’t shown, and she’s too off-beat. 23. Quintavious — never sing Carrie Underwood songs! 24. Elleigh — what’s with her song choice?

I think that right now K.B., Abi and McKenna have the best chances but I vaguely remember that in Hawaii, K.B.’s performance was panned to some degree by the judges, so I don’t know if she’ll maintain her progress. McKenna had a not-so-good song choice, and there’s the possibility that she might struggle with strained vocal cords. I think that Abi has the best chance since at least her shaky Showstopper performance could be excused by sickness.

I loved We’s performance as well.

My favorite from Hawaii was Just Sam’s “Como La Flor”. I had a Selena record and that song was on it. That’s why I loved seeing Just Sam sing it.

True, but Abi did have an excuse for her off performance: bronchitis. Still, shouldn’t play a guitar again. And she can still recover in time.

I thought that “Jealous” by Nick Jonas was a bad song choice to show off vocals.

1. Abi — platinum ticket winner should be easily safe. 2. McKenna — she got the pimp spot so she’s safe as well. 3. Will — best of the guys in this group. 4. Julia — she’s another platinum ticket winner, so she’ll be safe too. 5. K.B. — she’s safe for now. 6. Blake — minivan will root for him. 7. Kayko — in the middle but still safe for now. 8. Nya — she has a better song than Jayna this round. 9. Jayna — she’s in some danger but I think she’s safe. 10. Hailey — she’s got limited screen time and a bad performance slot but I think she’ll get by. 11. Jordan — Titanium will eat him alive. 12. Quintavious — singing a Carrie Underwood song? Bye-bye.

From most safe to least safe: 1. Triston — he got the pimp spot and he’s country. 2. Emmy — she’s the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn. That will help her. 3. Odell — he’s the most talented of the guys. 4. Jack — he’s got the best song of the ones below the Top 3. 5. Mia — I don’t know her song but it should be good enough. 6. Ajii — I don’t know this song but it’s a better song choice than “Jealous”. 7. Mackenzie — confusing song choice. 8. Jennifer — she has a unique tone. 9. Roman — the lesser of the two male gospel singers. 10. Kennedy — I think that she’ll just squeak by this round. 11. Elleigh — bad song choice. 12. K-Blocks — she’s just too off-beat.

Here’s my rankings of the girls: 1. Jayna — she was the best of the girls. 2. Abi — she started off slow, probably because of bronchitis, but she was still very good. 3. Nya — she really put on a show! 4. Julia — gets points off for an overdone song choice. 5. Hailey — she did quite well with “Alive”. 6. Emmy — this was her best performance yet. 7. Mia — she was actually better than McKenna. 8. K.B. — her first song wasn’t her best, but she beat Alyssa in the sing-off. 9. McKenna — sadly, it wasn’t her best performance. 10. K-Blocks — she was sassy but she’s too off-beat to get far. 11. Jennifer — she has a unique tone but she needs more technique. 12. Kennedy — I didn’t see her perform, but I think that she’s safe till the Top 20, so she goes here. 13. Elleigh — I also didn’t see her and she is probably going to be among the first cuts, so she goes here. Here’s my rankings of the guys: 1. Odell — the best of the guys. 2. Roman — he really did a great job with his song! 3. Mackenzie — he was better than Ziggy overall. 4. Triston — he did a very good job but he needs to sing non-country songs. 5. Ajii — his voice was hoarse and it showed. 6. Will — he did well but his voice is a tad grating for me. 7. Jack — he’s improving but he still gets points off for his facial expressions. 8. Jordan — Hailey did this song better. 9. Blake — he did well but he needs more confidence. 10. Kayko — we never heard him sing, so he has to go here. 11. Quintavious — we also never heard him sing, so he goes here. And here’s my rankings of the two eliminated in the show-off: 1. Ziggy — We did his first song better, but he still did well with it. And he was very good in the sing-off. 2. Alyssa — she did very well but K.B. clearly beat her.

I honestly forgot about that, and now that I know the performance order I think that Nya is safer than Jordan.

That isn’t the only reason why Scarlett wasn’t chosen, although being a professional singer wouldn’t have helped. She was competing against Julia and Nya for the vocal powerhouse slots, and she wasn’t as good as the other two. And while We’s also having been on The Voice didn’t help, there were other factors involved, such as song selection and the fact that Iam was extremely popular.

The main reason why I believe that Quintavious will be one of the first ones eliminated is because he sang a Carrie Underwood song in Hawaii. You shouldn’t sing Carrie Underwood songs in the voting rounds unless you absolutely have to because you’re going to be compared to her and more often than not, you’re going to come out with the short end of the stick, even if you’re a guy. But I think that Nya is more likely to be eliminated than Hailey or even Jordan.

I’m guessing that Quintavious and either Jordan or Nya are eliminated from Group 1 and Elleigh and K-Blocks are eliminated from Group 2.
