I don't think it's a good idea to post the exact name of the hotel on this thread, you never know who's reading this and would use that info. Even if fans that would visit there are fairly harmless the contestants do deserve to relax and be left alone when they are "home" while they are there filming the show.

I've been thinking for awhile about how funny it is that on TV everything is going to look so normal when in fact there was so much going on in the lead up to the actual taping that was not normal at all. Shout out to the folks at 1iota and CTEH (vaccination card verification and Covid test administration) for all their work getting the audience part done. It seems like some of the technical/logistical hiccups that happened for Blinds have been smoothed out a bit more for Battles.

From what I understand the guidelines that were in place for the Blinds had not been updated since the "re-opening" of California's economy and the lifting of the requirement for vaccinated people to wear masks indoors so I don't think there will be any changes regarding that for this weeks tapings now that L.A. County has reinstated the indoor mask requirement for everyone. But I guess we'll see. I know the producers preference is no masks, but at the same time audience reaction isn't quite as much of a big deal for Battles as it is for Blinds, I mean some coaches have even admitted in the past to looking at the audience's reactions for clues about who might be up on that stage when their back is still turned to it.

Booking audience for this show is really complicated right now especially with the restrictions they put on not making changes to your pod regarding the number of people or not changing the name of the guest once their vaccination card has been verified. You'd think because the audience is smaller all the tapings would definitely sell out, but just the way things are right now and having enough time to fill last minute cancellations that's not the case. Also, I'm not sure why they waited so long to send the first round of invites this time, but because it was less than a week lead time it would be harder for people to get the day off of work at the last minute if they hadn't already asked off before they actually got tickets. Basically it's hard to go to the tapings right now unless you regularly have the taping day free and or if you have some flexibility on scheduling a vacation day and you don't have to worry arranging child care, etc. at the last minute and you also need at least one friend that's in that situation as well.

If anyone was still trying to get tickets it seems like they sent out another round of invites today so go check your email or your 1iota account.

Kelly tweeted about the promo coming out tomorrow, too. I wonder why Kelly wore that outfit since that's definitely not what she would wear if she went camping, it must be part of the plot of the promo. The Voice promoing the promo:

While that is the norm I did remember Kelly making a comment about Ariana only doing one season when the coaches were talking about her coming on the show the following season when the Season 20 coaches were guests on her talk show. Considering how much the show is paying Ariana I wouldn't be surprised if she only did one season since I doubt the show could afford to pay that much for more than one season. She would have to provide a huge ratings bump for it to be worthwhile to bring her back and that seems very unlikely.

I asked this a couple of days ago, but I'll ask again since I still haven't seen anyone on social media indicating they got tickets. Has anyone gotten tickets themselves or heard of someone that got tickets? None of the tapings are sold out , but that could just be because people are still working their way through the vaccination verification process. I'm also wondering what the chances are for a postponement with the amount of new Covid cases rising rapidly in the last couple of weeks in L.A. County.

If my memory serves me correctly the TV edit left out the part where Kelly was shown being beside herself that she didn't have a save left to use on Marina because they aired her Knockout first. It sucks when such positive comments hit the cutting room floor because of an editorial decision regarding the airing order. It looked no one liked her enough to save her when someone actually genuinely wanted to. I get that the TV order is to serve whatever story are they are trying to create for the show, but there's definitely aspects of it that aren't so cool for the contestants.

Has anyone heard about anyone actually getting tickets? Considering how people have to submit their vaccine verifications they really should have sent out invitations by now.

Whelp, lucky for her she's still gorgeous without make up. Even if she had been able to make a quick pit stop at the mall for more appropriate clothes I suspect buying off the rack is probably not that easy since she's nearly 6 feet tall. The trip appeared to be a quick one since she was back at the airport the next morning. I saw her reply in the comments about not knowing if and when she would be on the live shows, but she would let everyone know as soon as she knew. Team Kelly probably filmed their rehearsals yesterday, Kelly's make up artist posted a picture at "work" on her IG story and there was a canvas behind her with the letters of V, O, I, C, E in random order all over it.

I don't know anything about this particular contestant, but it's very easy to miss or forget a name especially the last name since that is only said once during the whole segment. The volume level from the speakers in the studio can be low in general and sometimes during the speaking portions of the show you don't catch everything that's said or there will be noise in the audience that makes it difficult to hear. Also, sometimes contestants either aren't very active on social media period, or they are very cautious before reveal day and don't follow people they know from the show until then.

Parker McKay's bio on her website classifies her as being a Country Pop artist. I did get the same impression of her as you did after listening to both her covers and originals. I thought it was interesting that she ended up on Kelly's team since Kelly is a pop artist who was based in Nashville for several years.

Chevel is live streaming on Instagram from her bus right now instead of doing her usual Thursday cover. She's sung a few songs, she's doing Looking for Loretta right now.

You think they would be paired in a battle? While that might seem to make sense in terms of not having a 2 or 3 against one situation, doing an arrangement involving a trio and a duo would be pretty complex. It also doesn't help that one of the groups is composed of what I'm assuming are minors so they have restrictions placed on how much they can rehearse. If they go against each other I think it is more likely it would be in the Knockout round. It should be noted though that Kelly absolutely loves harmonies and being able to work with groups. I think she's going to want to bring at least one of her groups into the live rounds.

Cassadee Pope's performance on Kelly's talk show is airing on Wednesday of next week.

I think they especially take a war path stance whenever there is a new coach. During the last sets of pre-Covid pre-taped shows it was brought up that someone was sued just for saying something about Kelly's outfit from a taping during her first season. That person didn't even give any spoilers like that Ariana fan did, I'm not surprised at all that they're getting sued. The amount the production company will sue people for is $250,000. When the penalty is that steep I'm surprised there are still people that provide spoilers. The production company's lawyers can call the people compiling the spoilers as witnesses in a lawsuit. The warm up guy was called as witness in that lawsuit he mentioned about the Kelly related tweets because they used him to try and help identify who the leaker might have been.

It's no longer appearing on 1iota's schedule. Also, never mind what I said about the conflict with the Daytime Emmys apparently the nominees are sending pre-taped acceptance speeches which is totally lame, but it also means Kelly won't possibly miss out on accepting any awards.

It looks like the morning taping has disappeared. The afternoon taping isn't sold out anymore, they're probably keeping that one just in case. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets cancelled sometime tomorrow. The afternoon taping would occur at the same time as the Daytime Emmys ceremony and two of Kelly's categories are going to be awarded on air so if the taping does end up happening hopefully she would still be able to accept her awards.
