  1. Blake didn't have a material gift either. There was only one cardboard cut out that stayed in the studio. I think it sucks not to get a keepsake.
  2. I think what's happening is people are cancelling last minute because they either can't find someone to go with them or they get stuck and frustrated with the confirmation process and give up so then they have to scramble to replace all those people.
  3. The 1iota website has been generally pretty buggy for a year, ever since they redesigned the site and most likely also changed the database and there have been multiple issues I've run into trying to get through the process of completing the registration process. The vaccine verification process has tripped up a lot of people with not being able to submit their paperwork or things not propagating to the next step after the card has been verified. It was basically impossible to get help from support over the weekend because no one was answering emails outside regular business hours. There are workarounds for some situations, but it's just such a hassle for the attendees and the on site staff.
  4. Thinking about it they did move up the check in times exactly by two hours from the original times, but the Covid protocol notice when you register still said you need to show up two hours early. It's a bit of a mess.
  5. Ever since 1iota updated their website about a year ago I've noticed a lot of glitches. There's one that's particularly troublesome regarding the guests in the pod not having access to verify their vaccine card using the original link generated when the pod leader sends out an invite. This thread explains how to get around that issue if it's a problem for you. Also regarding the Covid test, it seems like they may have gotten rid of the option to get tested early in Burbank and they will just be given everyone a rapid test at the studio when they arrive. It's unclear from the info on the ticket if everyone still needs to arrive 2 hours early to get tested, but the test results can take up to 30 minutes to be available. You won't be able to complete the check-in process until you get your negative test result back.
  6. They really must have given out very few tickets, I requested for several tapings the day they were posted and I didn't get anything. Anyone need a plus one? Just kidding, kind of. I noticed they pushed up the tapings up a lot on Tuesday the first taping's check-in deadline moved from 10:45 a.m. to 8 .m. and the second taping moved from 4:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Considering you have to arrive 2 hours early if you want to get tested the day of you'd need to get there super early for the first taping. Also, I noticed they changed the verification process for the vaccination cards from doing it on site the day of the taping to using the CTEH verification portal instead. I noticed one person complaining on Twitter that his vaccination card pictures got rejected for an event occurring this week and he didn't have time to appeal. There's been a lot of problems with the ticketing process in general lately with 1iota for events requiring vaccination verification for some people not receiving tickets after their vaccination was verified.
  7. Brynn wrote her own lyrics to Bo Burnham's song "That Funny Feeling".
  8. The stream worked fine for me. It was so fun watching Storm freak out watching the show on her IG live, I kept wondering why was she so nervous she already knows she's on the danged show, but maybe the idea that millions of people were going to see it on TV was kind of a lot. She's also never really watched the show before so it was probably a lot to process.
  9. There's a preview clip of Storm Large's audition in this article. The article says that she's based in San Francisco, but while she did start her music career there, she's lived in Portland, OR for the past 20 years. https://tvline.com/2021/06/15/agt-storm-large-audition-season-16-episode-3-video/ I've Got You Under My Skin is one of Storm's signature covers and it really shows off how she uses her arrangements to alter how people think of a classic song. Storm is going to be live tweeting and going live on IG Live tonight during the east coast broadcast in case anyone is interested. https://www.instagram.com/stormof69/ https://twitter.com/Stormof69
  10. Here's another recent podcast interview, That's The Tea with Alessandra G: https://audioboom.com/posts/7885353-friday-features-with-brynn-cartelli
  11. So basically Push is a program MTV has to highlight artists that they think will be big one day and Push Radar is basically a pre-cursor to being chosen as a Push artist. The host basically gave a brief intro about Brynn before playing her "Long Way Home" video. He described her as an 18 year-old singer-songwriter that recently released an EP, "Based on a True Story." She was the youngest winner of The Voice and her song "If I Could" recently went viral on TikTok. I'm not sure how many people were streaming when Brynn's video played, but there are about 2,800 people streaming right now. I'm guessing most of the people watching are just waiting to see if the video they requested gets played, but maybe someone who hasn't heard of her before will get check her music out after seeing the video. The host mentioned something about MTV Radar playlists on Apple Music and Spotify, so far Brynn hasn't been added to the one on Spotify.
  12. Brynn is the Push Radar featured artist on this MTV livestream on YouTube. It started at 5 p.m. ET. I missed the first few minutes of it I don't know if I missed it. It's a 3 hour show:
  13. I saw an Ariana fan say they already got their ticket confirmed, but I haven't got anything yet. Not surprisingly there are people complaining about the taping not being virtual or complaining that they can't go because they aren't vaccinated.
  14. Blinds will tape from 6/21 to 6/25 with an in studio audience. https://1iota.com/show/1201/the-voice---s21
  15. Brynn did a couple of interviews yesterday. Brynn visited Chris Kellogg in studio at WMAS in Springfield, MA. Chris was very supportive of Brynn during her run on The Voice. In addition to the interview he also played "If I Could." It sounds like the station is going to continue playing the song. At the end of the interview Brynn was asked about the song she wrote that's going on Kelly's next album. When I first hear Kelly say that she begged Brynn to put the song on Brynn's album, but Brynn insisted on allowing Kelly to use it I was concerned that Brynn may have given away a song that could have potentially been a hit for herself away. However, in the interview Brynn said that while she loved the song, it didn't feel quite like was right for herself and she had decided not to use it for her own project for that reason (before she ever showed it Kelly). It definitely shows a lot of maturity and artistic integrity to have that kind of mentality. It's great that the song is going to be recorded by someone who's great at expressing the emotion of a song and whose vocal prowess can elevate a song. I think it's definitely going to help increase her clout as a songwriter and this will hopefully lead to other artists cutting her songs in the future. 16. They probably will be doing social distancing between the pods. In the past you were allowed to request a ticket for a single person, but if they are doing distancing only having one person in a pod is problematic if you want to fit a decent sized crowd in there. Also the max group size before was 3, but they probably upped it to 4 to try and fit a few more people.
  17. I noticed last night that Brynn has gotten rid of most of the cover videos she posted on her YouTube channel from when she was younger. She kept a few up including the Justin Bieber cover that caught The Voice casting director's attention. There are a lot of videos that are gone now that helped win me over more as a fan including some of her early original songs, I can't quite remember the titles now, but there was one she wrote for her best friend that was moving away and a Christmas song. Her cover of "When We Were Young" is gone as well, I was really impressed with the maturity beyond her years that she seemed to have in that one. I will say that while Brynn's voice has obviously matured with age since those early videos on YouTube and Facebook, she's also obviously done a lot of work to make sure that she sings with her own natural tone when she sings and she isn't mimicking other singers she likes. I suspect that shift also probably played a part in her pivoting away from her original idea of going more in a soul pop direction to more of alt pop direction.
  18. I agree that the message of LYIMM is easier to follow than Jane and it does seem to be more widely relatable than Jane, especially with Brynn's core fan base since when you're younger and inexperienced with relationships you're probably even less likely to express your feelings toward someone you have a crush on. I like the intricacies of the melody of Jane because she chose to reflect emotional unsteadiness with making the words sound unsteady at the ends of the phrases, but that also makes the song harder to sing along to, you need to have a lot of control or it just sounds like you can't sing very well while LYIMM has a more straightforward melody.
  19. The audience is going to be required to be fully vaccinated (last dose by 6/6) and also test negative for Covid within 2 days of the taping. You either have to go to the productions designated testing site prior to the taping or arrive two hours early to get tested the day of the taping. Also there was this interesting part of the Covid Guidelines: What's this "otherwise instructed" part about? The fact that they are doing two layers of Covid precautions with both testing and full vaccination it makes me think masks could be optional during certain points of the taping. This is the first taping I've seen where they've asked the audience for both these things. It's been one or the other.
  20. I'm just curious how you know the acts that are going to air ahead of time. One of the contestant's that I follow doesn't seem to have a clue when she'll air so I'd appreciate being able to help give her and her fans a head's up.
  21. Ha, don't worry I won't put an erasure on your existence as a Brynn fan on here.
  22. Sorry I took so long to answer this, you can see the stream counts on the BOATS page using the desktop Spotify app. BOATS stats after one week: One last before BOATS Spotify Stats check: Monthly listeners: 682,117 846,724 Followers: 58,885 62,282 If I Could: 2,186,186 2,938,929 Long Way Home: 1,246,920 1,420,224 Imaginary Stranger: 70,166 Love You In My Mind: 163,503 We Belong: 52,191 Jane: 124,947 It's interesting that Love You In My Mind is a bit ahead of Jane in streams because Jane has been added to a few Spotify playlists including the New Music Friday playlist so that should have helped boost streams for that one. It's nice to see the monthly listener count has continued to grow. Brynn was added to the Global Viral Playlist yesterday, Brynn seemed excited about the "Global" part of that in her IG story.
  23. The warm up guy mentioned June for Blinds, but nothing more specific about dates.
  24. I wasn't in the audience for the finale, but during the Top 9 results show I asked about live audiences coming back. The warm up guy didn't really know for sure, but based on how things were evolving with bringing back live audiences for other shows he didn't think they were going to be virtual audiences anymore. You can see what Bill said to the audience at the end of the finale in this video he posted. He said he thinks that was his last virtual audience. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CPUeRtspO4L/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
