I don't hate Emmy at all and I'm sorry if my comments were too harsh. I do think she's a talented musician (I liked all the original songs she performed) but I just don't think her talents are right for Idol which is more about singing and performing ability, especially once it gets to the themed weeks.

The fact that someone who's been paid to analyse this show for several years thinks Bryan's coming 11th is wild lol

I mean surely she knew what she was signing up for? Idol has had theme weeks every single season lol... if she only wanted to sing originals she shouldve dropped out after top 20 and given her spot to someone who actually wanted to be there

Yeah but I'm still glad we got an extra 1 or 2 performances from Jayna, Roman, Nya etc. If they got rid of the wildcards then pretty much no black contestant would ever make it past top 20 lol

Emmy being one of the last two women standing in a season with so much female talent is just sad lol, if it weren't for her famous grandmother she probably wouldn't have even got an audition with the judges

Sadly I think McKenna and Julia will go home tonight, leaving us with possibly the worst top 5 in Idol history? I can't think of any worse lol

The Adele song choices seem mostly fine except for Triston's which should be interesting... I have no idea how the dance songs are gonna go since I'm guessing a lot of them are gonna be heavily rearranged versions lol

Only thing that surprises me here is Triston getting a lower score on Monday than Sunday. He was a pitchy breathy mess on Sunday but to me he sounded mostly fine in his solo performance on Monday? Unless people deducted marks for choosing Morgan Wallen in which case fair enough

Chance picking Nadege over Kyle was the worst and most ridiculous decision he's made all season, even worse than picking RLETTO over Val and Alyssa. Nadege is the type of singer I usually love, and I do like her tone, but the vocals just aren't there. "Clocks" was the weakest playoffs performance of the last two seasons imo

Emmy's performance on Monday was only memorable for the novelty factor of singing her grandmother's song. It was good by her standards but still one of the weaker performances of the night. Like every song she chooses it was a very easy song with a 1 octave range and she still struggled with pitch. She should've been in the bottom 2 instead of Kaibrienne (well actually Tristan should've been but that was never gonna happen lol)

I just noticed how messy and chaotic all the K name contestants were this season lol, Kayko, KBlocks, Kennedy and Kaibrienne I wanna see them all perform together at the finale

They really had to pimp Emmy tonight so we lost someone good instead...sigh. Even though I prefer McKenna I kind of wish they'd chosen KB because she had a chance of making top 5. McKenna is definitely gone next week.

For me a lot of Blake's problem was that he kept picking songs that were way too big for him. Emmy is a lot better at choosing songs that work within her limitations
