I watched half of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and she was off pitch. I mean I've been constantly reading variations of "she was too young, "she wasn't ready," and "she was disappointing" on here over the last week so I inferred that she probably would've lost up against GNT and Bryce. My bad for doing that

This was honesty my point lol. I don't doubt her run was stronger than Ruby, but it wasn't exactly flawless. It's not even the quality of her performance, but she went from singing Beyonce one week to Lady Gaga the next. She wasn't exactly playing to the audience. Add in that she was an older female contestant, it doesn't make sense that she was being used as some kind of bench mark. Had she put up a flawless run and then came close but still lost, I would maybe understand those post, but that is literally not the case. She is literally my favorite from that season, check my post history but don't need to prove anything. Not sure why it needed to be me "taking a cheap shot at Morgan." If I took Morgan's run and put it up against Huntley, I still think she would have lost.

Lmao you misunderstood my post. I was saying Parachute is a much weaker song than No Time To Die so I didn't really understand the comment about Mara having better song choices. UO, but Mara has been consistent for most of the competition. Kind of think she is aggressively targeted for being "inconsistent" and I can't think of one messy moment outside of the second half of her KO, and even that wasn't bad. People love to dissect each of her performances for imperfections when we can play that game with the rest of the contestants.

Can't really blame song choice when she got two dramatic songs during the lives. Both of Nini's songs are designed for moments. We gotta come up with something else. If anything, her pre-live songs were kind of more "out there" considering the show's audience. Didn't Reba make a comment about one of her performances being too much. Mara got songs that don't scream "moment" on paper, but she has the vocals and stage presence to carry them. You're not gonna convince me that Parachute > No Time to Die

Kinda felt like Kaylee had no connection to the song, but she sang it well

I mean the whole season has been centered around Blake. I mean the first 10 minutes of tonight's show with Grace was "my last country artist, "last artist I turned for," "full circle moment," etc. Good forbid they try to even out the playing field and spread some of the attention, especially given that Grace closed just last week.

Kind of dragged...ngl

Kind of surprised, but yeah Iam is winning lol

I don't think that's really true in 2023. Country music has closed the streaming gap a lot probably because iTunes and buying music is dead. I'm sure everyone is "getting with the times" with regards to the consumption of music. Plus, I would assume he has some type of fanbase outside of minivan. Anyways, a Colin win wouldn't be that shocking. The ABC era has shown me that going viral doesn't mean that much in the grand scheme of things...Alejandro, Arthur are all recent examples. Yeah, a lot of people might watch your videos, but are they actually voting when it counts, especially given how strong and predominant the country/minivan demographic is, especially given that both Noah and Chayce won the most recent seasons. -
"massively hinder her career" is dramatic lol but yes, he should probably delete it if he hasn't already.

All-time favorite contestant of each gender and era

FOX era male: Joshua Ledet FOX era female: Vonzell Solomon (shout out to Hollie Cavanagh as well) ABC era male: ...honestly I can't say I REALLY care for any of them, but gun to my head, probably Francisco Martin ABC era female: Casey Bishop -
Another just OKAY performance. Heard to get me excited about another Fallin performance.
-
Meh...idk they could have picked a different song.
-
NOVAIS was interesting to say the least... Idk the song has been done too many times for me to be truly impressed by it unless it's flawless. Weak falsetto. It falls in line with the rest of the performances so far. No one has truly wowed me tonight tbh.
-
Great vocal but didn't care for the song itself. The end was gorgeous.
-
There's literally nothing interesting about Ray's voice. It was fine (runs were kind of messy), but I'll forget about it in 5 minutes.
-
Lmao just vote for Gina
-
Not the reverse psychology.

The beginning was gorgeous, but then he stood up and it became meh.

Lol me neither. The Holly fans are intense...like sheesh.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't care for We on The Voice which was why I was kind of like "whatever" when everyone was excited about her return (honestly felt that way about all The Voice alumni. None of them were exactly my favorites). She definitely improved on idol, mainly in stage presence and performing, but I think after both of her runs, I've pinpointed my issue with her. UO, but I don't find her to be a compelling ballad singer. She clearly hits all the notes, but idk, it always feels like she's going through the motions when she sings them. Now when she goes uptempo, you can tell that's more her element. I still go back to "Something's Got a Hold On Me" because something just clicked there. Even with "Edge of Midnight," she looked and performed like a star. Her hollywood original with everyone singing along etc. Those were her strongest performances. Other than Ain't No Way, none of her slower songs hit me, and it's probably cause Ain't No Way is a soul song which allowed her to "go off." Ali is one of my favorites contestants ever so it's definitely Ali > We in any scenario. Ali's problem on the Voice was song choice. Like none of her songs made sense. She sang a Dolly Parton song? I actually remember think two of the songs We sang that season should have gone to Ali: No More Drama and Love on the Brain. Funny because Ali ended up singing No More Drama on The Four. But like We, I think Ali was able to show more on her second TV appearance. -

You could literally give DOMO to the last few winners (Chayce, Noah, Laine) and it probably would have turned out the same. Heck, you could have given to Oliver and Warren and it probably would have turned out the same as well. Iam, at least, doesn't sound like any contestants I've heard time and time again in the past even if people don't find him all that exciting. And unrelated, but I kind of feel like DOMO is one of those songs that can make anyone sound decent.
