Very good episode. KB blew me away. Madai is the craziest contestant since Tatiana Del Toro lol.

She was shown getting a golden ticket in the premiere but only her reaction to getting it, none of her singing was shown. And she’s supposedly not on tonight’s episode either. So far she’s being edited like Fox Idol fodder such as Amy Krebs and Melinda Lira (I don’t expect anyone to remember them lol but they were basically never shown prior to the voting rounds.)

She’s probably wishing she’d never tried out again lol.

We’ll be getting a lot of montages, I’m sure. I’ve got the feeling they won’t feature K-Blocks again except a short clip. She’s getting the old school Idol fodder treatment.

I’m ready for all of them! Hollywood Week has always been my favorite part.

I think they got confused and put Tuesday, April 1st instead of Monday, April 1st.

Hollywood Week is getting a change-up this season which should make things interesting. I’ve always thought they make the contestants sing TOO much in Hollywood Week, which hurts their voices by the end of it. From what I can tell, the new HW will consist of just two rounds: Arena and Showstoppers.

I really wasn’t too impressed with Quintavious’ audition and I don’t think he’ll pull off that Carrie song either. After hearing Kennedy, I think she’ll survive the first round of cuts. K-Blocks will need a miracle to stick around past the first round. Other than her, I can’t truly pinpoint anyone who I think is a goner for sure.

If Kennedy presented herself more seriously, she could’ve possibly been a contender. She has a strong voice but her karaoke song choices and OTT makeup make it hard to take her seriously.

Wow, Kennedy really improved. She has a really strong voice and can belt.

Blake and Emmy

IDK what the judges were going on about with Mia. She sang that song beautifully and captured the emotion of it. Everything doesn’t have to be over the top.

Wow, didn’t even notice when I watched it but yes, she’s the obviously not in any of the cities they went to. They set up a whole audition room just for the daughter of a former Bachelor?

I said it was a very early guess just for fun. Something to look back on and see how off target I am. Julia, Odell, Jack, McKenna, Triston and Will are not pop. I don’t think Nya or Jayna are gonna get the votes to move on but I can see the judges definitely saving Nya. Jayna will go the way of Olivia/Nailyah/Kaeyra, I’m afraid. Strong vocalist but producer don’t seem crazy about her. Julia will fill the belter spot just fine.

Just for gits and shiggles, and assuming no one Booner’d, here’s my very premature guess for the Top 12: 1. Abi Carter 2. Julia Gagnon 3. Emmy Russell 4. Blake Prohel 5. Ajii 6. Jack Blocker 7. Kayko 8. KB Richins 9. McKenna Breinholt 10. Triston Harper 11. Odell Bunton, Jr. 12. Will Mosely Mackenzie, Jordan, or Nya could be there too but I think they’d be wildcard choices.

LOVE Mia’s song choice. A great Sara Evans and Vince Gil song. Mia and Jacy’s mom will be singing with them on the show tonight too, it appears.
