Jennifer’s low register reminds me a bit of Adele’s voice. Her upper register isn’t as strong, though. Not sure she’s gonna go very far on this show but I like her.

Elleigh isn’t getting the hate that I expected so maybe she has a shot. She is a pretty girl with a good voice. Maybe she can afford a misstep song choice.

At the time this was filmed, she didn’t know she was gonna get very little airtime in the early rounds. This performance is probably why the show practically edited her out of Hollywood Week lol. They know she’s gonna have a hard time making it through with that song choice along.

Elleigh isn’t smart at this Idol game at all but she’s a lot of fun lol. Her voice is very good and she’s gorgeous. Just an awful song choice and minivan aren’t gonna like her personality, I’m afraid.

I didn’t even hear anything wrong with Jayna’s performance lol. I would rank her in the upper half. But I don’t think she stands out or has any star presence, so I don’t see her making the Top 14. The judges will for sure choose Nya as their WC pick over Jayna.

I think either Emmy or KB will be the last girl standing right now.

Based on performances, Jordan and Blake should go home. I like Jordan’s voice but he really brings nothing special to the show. Some of his runs sound good and others sound awful. Blake could get back in the game with the right ballad at the piano, but he was laughably bad last night. Stevie Wright’s “You Belong With Me” levels of cringe. But I THINK Hailey and Jordan will be leaving. Quintavious still isn’t 100% safe for me. Hailey has gotten a boring edit and while she sounded fine last night, the performance went nowhere. It was one of those performances Simon would call “So what?” Nothing about that song selection or her delivery of it earned her any new fans that will be compelled to vote for her. She was forgettable and that’s even worse than being horrible like Blake was. The same can be said about Jordan. Quintavious was better than I expected but he could get eliminated anyway like Emma Busse did because of a lack of a dedicated fan base.

Group Two could surprise us and wind up having the stronger performances. I’m just so baffled by Elleigh’s song choice lol. How do you go from “Golden Slumbers” to “Forget You”? I’m also expecting K-Blocks to be as bizarre as ever.

It’ll be surprising if Blake goes home the very first round but he deserves to. If he makes it, he needs to go back to singing ballads at the piano.

I’ll be so mad if Jayna goes home the first round. She’s hands down one of the best singers.

I should clarify lol. She’s technically a better singer but I think he has the better tone.

It’s not gonna help him, I don’t think lol. I believe he and Hailey are goners.

I’m thinking he’s gonna last another week now and Hailey and Jordan will be going home. They were at the very beginning of the show and weren’t that great.

I don’t find Hailey to be that interesting and I actually think Jordan is better than her. I think she was more impressive on The Voice because she was excellent for a fourteen year old. She just doesn’t stand out for me among this cast. Blake has gone way wrong and needs to get himself together. He deserves to go home but I’m sure he’ll survive this round. He may not make the Final 14, though.

Hailey is toast I’m afraid.

1. Triston: Total Scotty vibes from him 2. Emmy: Her sweet, shy personality will work in her favor. 3. Will: Great old-school country voice. 4. Abi: Lots of momentum from her strong audition and I think she’s capable of giving us a “moment.” 5. Odell: He’s easy to root for and is gonna kill it every week. 6. Julia: She’s a bit over the top sometimes but I think she can go far with her strong vocals. Also capable of a “wow” moment. 7. KB: A very cool voice and she seems to really connect with the songs she chooses. She’s pretty but not “sexy” so minivan doesn’t mind her. 8. McKenna: I worry about her vocal range a bit but if she chooses the right songs, she can go very far. Raspy voiced girls seem to stick around a while on ABC’s Idol. 9. Jack: I could see him getting boring after a few weeks but he has a good voice. The type of voice that people tend to vote for. 10. Kayko: We don’t know how he sounds singing a cover yet since we’ve only heard original music from him. 11. Jennifer: A polarizing contestant for sure. She could either bomb or be the dark horse of the season. 12. Ajii: A strong gritty voice that could end up being a bit monotonous. 13. Blake: I’m not ready to write him off yet because he could make a comeback, but he’s certainly lost momentum since his audition. 14. Jayna: I’d love to see her stick around a long time but I’m sadly getting Sarina Joi flashbacks. 15. Mia: She could also be a dark horse but there’s a lot of strong female talent this season, so she could get lost in the shuffle. 16. Mackenzie: He’s a good pop singer and he’s got the look but I think he’s just a bit TOO put together for viewers to get behind. 17. Roman: He’s good but Odell does everything he can do even better. 18. Hailey: Her voice just isn’t remarkable among this cast. And her lack of airtime will hurt her. 19. Nya: Like Mackenzie but even more put together. The voters prefer raw talent and as strange as it may be, all her experience will be a hindrance to her. Like CarmenSandiego said, minivan hasn’t warmed up to her. 20. Kennedy: She does have a big voice but she’s just so pageanty and overdone. That being said, she COULD surprise us. But I’m not gonna bet on her going far as of now. 21. Jordan: A pop guy with a nice voice but nothing remarkable. Mackenzie and Blake are more memorable. 22. Quintavious: Good but boring. Doesn’t bring the same wow factor that Odell and sometimes even Roman bring to to the table. 23. Elleigh: She’s hardly been shown and with such a strong crop of females, she doesn’t stand out in any way other than being a pretty blonde girl. 24. K-Blocks: Sadly she’s just way too quirky and odd for the voters.

He’ll have to sing covers soon because of the upcoming themes: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Billboard #1s, but I think he’ll sing original songs whenever he gets the chance. I don’t think he wants to win but get as much exposure as possible, which is the smartest route to take.

Dimitrious singing “Latch” in Hawaii really made me pay attention to him. I wish the voters would’ve gotten behind him more.

Ziggy could’ve been fun to have around but I think he would’ve overstayed his welcome. Similar to Sanjaya and Lazaro. I didn’t think he was an amazing singer or anything. Mackenzie has the more listenable voice but I don’t love him either. TBH, I would’ve cut Jordan and put Mackenzie and Ziggy both through. Jordan and Mackenzie are both young pop guys but I think Mac is better.

I wonder what the point of this whole thing was lol? I mean I’m happy they all got to release singles but why? Why these three contestants? They all seem to still be in the competition.

Scarlett and Michael were over the top singers, IMO. I mean I know we have some contestants who are also OTT but those two seemed to be very dramatic when they sang, almost as if they were auditioning for the lead role in a musical.

Alyssa seemed so sweet on her first two seasons. I’m surprised that she’s actually very selfish and conniving. Her father seems lovely too. Come to think of it, I feel like there was some drama with him on social media before?
