Here's my power rankings after the first performance show, beginning with the girls:

 

1.  Alexis -- she did the best routine in the 1st performance show by a mile.

2.  Jordan -- she's the best contemporary girl.

3.  Ralyn -- she has a definite personality and that probably kept her out of danger.

4.  Essence -- she's the only hip-hop girl, so she's safe for now.

5.  Anna -- she's not quite as good as Jordan or even Ralyn.

6.  Virginia -- cannon fodder.

 

And here are the guys' power rankings:

 

1.  Keaton -- at least this week, he was the best of the guys.

2.  Waverly -- he was very good as well.

3.  Thiago -- he's a great technical dancer but he needs to improve his performance skills.

4.  Beau -- he's unique and that will help him.

5.  Lord Finn -- he might get past Beau with a better performance.

6.  Carter -- I liked his routine but he was overshadowed by Ralyn.

01. Thiago - My favourite by a mile.

02. Keaton - He’s going to be such a strong partner for anyone but I don’t know if he’ll stand out. Great first dance though.

03. Carter - He did well and he’s cute. I hope he gets some votes from landing in the bottom.

04. Waverly - He did alright.

05. Lord Finn - Meh. He was brought down by his partner.

06. Beau - It’s a no from me.

 

01. Essence - QUEEN. Her first dance with Thiago was my favourite of the night.

02. Ralyn - She completely sold it. 

03. Alexis - It was good.

04. Jordan - Forgettable.

05. Virginia - What was that?

06. Anna - Nope.

Here's my power rankings of the remaining dancers, beginning with the girls:

 

1.  Alexis -- best girl by a mile.

2.  Anna -- she has yet to be in danger.

3.  Ralyn -- so does she.

4.  Essence -- she was in danger but she's a hip-hop dancer, so I think that will help her survive another week.

5.  Jordan -- she needs to stand out more in order to survive next week.

 

And now for the guys:

 

1.  Keaton -- he was the best of the guys by a mile as well.

2.  Beau -- he's the only other guy not to be in danger.

3.  Thiago -- he recovered nicely but he needs to improve his performance skills in order to make the finale.

4.  Carter -- he's been in danger, but he's the only ballroom guy left, so that might help him survive another week.

5.  Waverly -- unless he recovers well next week, he's a goner.  Keaton has done better and between him and Thiago, I think that the judges will save Thiago.

 

And now for the eliminated dancers:

 

1.  Virginia -- I was right.  She was cannon fodder compared to Jordan, Anna and Ralyn.

2.  Lord Finn -- what went wrong?  Carter improved and he didn't, sadly.

I think someone might have gotten the dancers names mixed up.

 

I have just watched trailer for the next episode and it turns out the couples are:

 

Anna and Carter - Salsa

Ralyn and Keaton - African jazz?

Essence and Waverly - Bollywood

Jordan/Alexis (can’t tell) and Beau - Waltz?

Jordan/Alexis and Thiago - Broadway/Jazz

*It's tough to shape the power rankings this season because past performances & fanbase doesn't really matter in this voting system. However, i can't imagine tptb would let the winner be decided solely based on "the luck of the draw" (dance). With that being said, i think tptb would be happy w/ either Alexis or Essence as winner; The rest is a crap shoot

Here's my power rankings after this week, beginning with the girls:

 

1.  Essence -- she did an awesome Bollywood routine!  She recovered nicely from her trip to the Bottom 4 in the first week.

 

2.  Alexis -- had to place her here after her trip to the Bottom 4 this week.  On the bright side, Thiago is gone and nobody else will have to deal with his performance skills problems.

 

3.  Ralyn -- more memorable than Anna.

 

4.  Anna -- despite never being in danger so far, I have to put her here.

 

And now for the guys:

 

1.  Keaton -- still the best guy.

2.  Beau -- he's a real performer.

3.  Carter -- despite being in danger twice, he's still the only Ballroom male dancer in the competition.

4.  Waverly -- and that makes him cannon fodder, sad to say.

 

Eliminated ones:

 

1.  Jordan -- she was in the Bottom 4 again.

2.  Thiago -- he was one of three male Contemporary dancers and had problems with performance skills in front of a studio audience.  Just goes to show how vital performance skills are on this show.

1. Alexis - She’s a star, I have enjoyed everything from her so far. 
 

2.Keaton- The strongest male by far, I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t make the top 4. 

 

3. Essence- I was really disappointed with her first contemporary but she was a star in the Bollywood routine, I couldn’t keep my eye off of her. 
 

4. Ralyn- She’s adorable, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen from her although I don’t think she’s the most memorable. 
 

5. Carter- I enjoyed him in the first 2 dances he did, but I was pretty underwhelmed with his performance in the Salsa. 
 

6. Anna- Eh she’s kinda just there for me although I did enjoy her in her contemporary routine. 

 

7. Beau- I’ve been pleasantly surprised with his last 2 routines, he’s had a lot to prove being technically the weakest dancer but he’s done well enough. 
 

8. Waverly- A very bland performer, I was hoping his Bollywood would be great for him to showcase more personality but he completely faded in the background.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nigel has been pulling the strings behind closed curtains.

 

He has been actively commenting on the show on twitter and threw a major shade at the Viennese Waltz.

Maybe it's because of their being in the Bottom 4 last week.
