  1. Here are my thoughts about the duets: 1. Elijah & Lucy — they were really good! 2. Nutsa & Carina — sounds like one of those pairings that on paper were good but in action, were awful! 3. Elise & Matt — very good. 4. Hannah & Warren — not my cup of tea but still good enough. 5. Zachariah & Isaac — next time, choose a song where you can remember the lyrics easily! 6. Tyson & Kaylin — I thought they were really good too. 7. Jon Wayne & Preston — 8. Iam & Oliver — very good as well. 9. Adin, Jayna & Summer Joy — well, at least they remembered the lyrics. 10. We Ani & PJAE — most entertaining and the best of the duets. 11. Cam & J. — J bailing out on Cam briefly really hurt them both. 12. Fire & Jayna — poor Fire! And poor Kaya, who withdrew due to illness! I’m glad that Jayna stepped up to save Fire.
  2. What did she sing? I hope she closes the episode too. The Showcase round will last two nights, I believe.
  3. I would have cut Isaac and possibly Zachariah but Zachariah at least had entertainment value. That might also be why Isaac moved on as well — it had entertainment value, even if it was a train wreck!
  4. I don’t think that Hannah will be the last girl standing, but I do believe that she won’t be eliminated in the Top 26 round after her last two performances in Hollywood. Michael, Nutsa and Paige Anne are all in danger of being eliminated alongside Malik and (probably) Dawson.
  5. Good point about Elise’s chances being higher thanks to a good duet with Matt but I still think that she has a huge hole to climb out of and I fear that the hole is too big for her.
  6. Since I’m a huge fan of Wé at this point, you can guess which duet I chose. I’ll give a full rundown later on.
  7. And because they didn’t do that, I’m revising my list: Group 1: Elise, Nailyah (sadly) and either PJAE or Emma. Group 2: Dawson, Malik and Michael.
  8. You might be right about Hannah. She might get past Michael since they’re in the same group of performers.
  9. Agreed. She came through for Fire and apparently came through for Adin as well. Poor Fire, however. It was just rotten luck that Kaya became too ill to go on.
  10. Another thing that will help Wé in future rounds. She knows how to take risks and this one certainly paid off!
  11. Here's what I thought about the Round 1 performances that I watched: 1. Nutsa -- she was more subdued but just as intense. Great job! 2. Colin -- not as good as Nutsa (or a lot of others) but still good enough to move on. 3. Sara Beth -- even if you miss your children, you shouldn't quit! 4. Marybeth -- very good. 5. Zachariah -- I thought he was better than Colin. 6. Hannah -- she was good enough to move on. 7. We -- wow, not only can she play a guitar, she can do an original song! 8. Olivia -- I was surprised that she sang Whitney, but it's okay in the early rounds. 9. Malik -- from what I saw, he was fine, but I think he's cannon fodder. 10. Kaeyra -- she was also really good. 11. Lyric -- she should go into musical theater. This isn't for her. 12. McKayla -- I thought she was very good but the judges didn't agree. 13. Paige Anne -- really good but the song is overdone. 14. Haven -- I pitied her for her brother's troubles. She was heartfelt. 15. Matt -- he was also very good. 16. Oliver -- he was really good. 17. Fire -- she showed that she deserved to go to Hollywood. 18. Lucy -- she just proved herself. 19. Brayden -- pretty good but not good enough. 20. Mariah -- very good. 21. Trey -- he was also good enough. 22. Emma -- unlike Lyric, she was able to be less theatrical and it worked. 23. Megan -- she was better than in her audition. 24. Dawson -- he was good enough but I think he's a little generic. 25. Kya -- it takes guts to do a song Jennifer Hudson sang, and she pulled it off! 26. Iam -- I love his song choice, and it was very good.
  12. Wè was awesome! She’s probably going to be the last girl standing!
  13. Thanks for adding me. She's not one of my top favorites (We and Olivia are those two), but I think that she's good enough for me to really vote for her once she gets into the semi-finals. Also, she's not country, so she could use extra support.
  14. I'd like to be added as well.
  15. As promised here are my rankings of the auditions from the final audition round: 1. Kaeyra -- she was my favorite of this round of auditions. 2. Oliver -- the best of the guys. 3. Elise -- the best of the ones whose auditions were montaged. 4. Cam -- a little surprised that he got the Platinum Ticket, but he did very well. 5. Jayna -- second-best of the singers who were montaged. 6. Mikenly -- glad that she overcame her eating disorder. 7. Isaac -- he was in the middle of the pack for me. 8. Fire -- I'm glad that she got to go to Hollywood, but she's not going to get any farther, sad to say. 9. Sarah -- the worst of the three who had their auditions montaged. 10. Kaya -- she's a fine performer, but there are so many other fine performers out there. 11. Phil -- a good songwriter, but I've seen far better singers than him. 12. Sierra -- well, at least she didn't sing "Alone" but "Barracuda" isn't a much better choice. Did better with "Firework", however. I think she's a goner in Hollywood Week. 13. Nate -- his voice isn't my cup of tea at all!
  16. I like “Set Fire to the Rain”, but my favorite Adele song is “Skyfall”.
  17. I knew that she was going to be shown in either Round 1 or Round 2, but I didn’t know that Jordin was her mentor, or that she could play a guitar until you mentioned it on a different thread! That shows that she’s not an old-school American Idol contestant and might help her out with voters later on.
