It will be interesting to see what the fan distribution is like this week since the new coaches were announced so late. I noticed that the morning tapings on Saturday and Sunday are the only ones sold out. It would probably be difficult for fans of the new coaches to be able to attend the tapings with so little notice, but I guess some of them could want to go so bad they could call in sick to work to go to a taping during the week if they can't ask for the day off so short notice. I do think it helps the new coaches to have a lot of fans there supporting them.

I just noticed that nbc.com put out to press releases announcing the coach panel, the first one had a headline about Blake's final season and then an hour later the posted one with a headline announcing Kelly's return. The newbies didn't get a headline, haha.

There are some indications that Brynn shot a music video for the new single, it looks like she went to Nantucket where the song takes place yesterday. I wasn't really expecting a video for this one since they skipped making one for Girl Code.

For anyone planning on attending tapings this season, I noticed the Covid policies have completely changed on 1iota's page. They now require that every audience member either be fully vaccinated or present a negative PCR test from the last 48 hours. The policy previously was to only allow fully vaccinated people in the audience. All the stuff about rapid testing has been removed and there's no mention regarding that in the check-in info on the tickets so it seems like they are no longer are conducting the rapid tests any more. It's unclear what the mask protocol will be, but from a risk assessment point of view you should assume that you will be in the studio sitting in close proximity to other unmasked people for several hours. It's possible they could have the audience leave their masks on, but this show does use audience reaction, especially during Blinds as a fairly important part of the show and the same language regarding masks from previous seasons where the audience takes off their masks during the taping is still in the Covid policy: "Wear appropriate face coverings (silk mask, knit masks, and gaiter-style masks are not permitted) at all times unless otherwise instructed by a crew member." Since this is a significant change in Covid protocols I thought it was important to make people aware so everyone can make an informed decision about attending.

Brynn just announced she's dropping another single soon via her text message list thing. It will be Convertible in the Rain. She seemed to be indications this would be the next single when she posted a new clip of her singing the song on TikTok and asked fans on her IG story about the dumbest things they did while they were in love and then posted a link to the TikTok video indicating that was her dumb thing.

The release date for Wildfire on IMDB changed from October 16th to December 16th. Maybe October was a typo or something because that date isn't even on a Friday.

Looks like 1iota finally started sending out invites attend the Blinds tapings last night. I guess we'll see if they announce the coach line up before the tapings or if the first audience gets to find out by seeing the names on the back of the chairs when they enter the studio.

Brynn's live was fairly short, but she performed pretty sweet version of Girl Code with her playing keys and a "very special guest" playing acoustic guitar from outside the camera frame. It became pretty obvious during the performance that the guest guitar player was most likely the guy that inspired the song, she was so giggly and smiley throughout the song and she was looking at him at very specific lines in the song. Now Brynn is going to go live at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight. From what she posted on TikTok she's planning on performing something during the live.

I don't think she has at all. It does seem like she's having trouble booking new gigs since the pandemic started. She went live last week on Instagram for the first time in awhile last week and sang covers for awhile on there. She acknowledged it had been awhile since she had been on social media and life had been crazy lately and she needed to take a break from social media. Chevel also mentioned she had been sick recently and still had a nagging cough. She had to stop singing after doing it for about 20 minutes because her voice was tired which is a bit concerning. Hopefully she starts feeling better soon.

Girl Named Tom will be opening for Pentatonix on their Christmas tour.

Blake is going to be a guest on Kelly's show on Monday 9/19. It's a "Songs and Stories" episode so Blake will be telling the stories behind some of his songs and singing it after talking about it. You can expect Kelly to jump in and sing with him as well. Brynn will be opening for Jake Scott this fall. Tickets for the tour are already on sale. Brynn won't be appearing at the Nashville, Atlanta, and NYC stops on the tour. I haven't looked at every venue, but it seems like the shows are all General Admission. Jake's tour stops on his tour at the beginning of this year all sold out so I wouldn't wait too long to buy tickets if you plan on going to see Brynn. Although Kelly isn't going to be on S21 of The Voice she still found a way to showcase undiscovered talent on TV by having a Kellyoke talent search in NYC, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles. There's going to be a winner from each city that will take part in a big Kellyoke performance with Kelly and the other winners on her show. The NYC stop was done both on Sunday and until 3 p.m. ET. today at the Plaza of 30 Rock. Kelly stopped by to the Today show in person for the first time in three years to promote the 4th season of her talk show and the Kellyoke duet contest tour, Carson and Hoda did the interview. She also went out and surprised an auditioner with a suprise duet on the plaza. Carson jokingly pretended to not know Kelly had been on American Idol when Hoda mentioned the 20th anniversary of her victory was coming up. Then he tried to recruit the girl that sang with Kelly to be on The Voice. He's repping hard for his show. While they talked about what Kelly did during the summer since she was free from The Voice duties, there wasn't any talk about her future as a coach on The Voice.
