  1. I think it's a silly question to ask. I think all the winners and finalists wanted to win on some level. It's a human thing.
  2. Slander for Mylo Xyloto aside, I love Charlie Brown and someone should sing it on The Voice US stage. It worked in TVUK.
  3. Season 9 is my favorite season. #TeamGinger all the way!
  4. You can make an argument that Craig Wayne Boyd and Sundance Head have a little rock in them, but I think Huntley is the first male pure rock winner, for sure.
  5. I mean, who wouldn't be? It's the culmination of months of being stuck in a hotel and constant rehearsals, filming and stress. And he got $100K to boot.
  6. Glad to see all the positive press! Huntley must be dead tired after all of this. Hope he can rest a ton this holiday season.
  7. It's almost as if they realized being too country might actually turn off some voters, so they dialled it back in the Finale.
  8. The Top 12 had a significant amount of country because of TPTB, for sure. But the voters didn't vote them in. They voted for Ruby, and Jacquie got in because she performed the best on the IS, singing a noncountry song. Also worth noting that while we have two ostensibly country females in the Top 5, they didn't sing any country at all in the Finale. Curious.
  9. Simple, it's the one where his snowflake had a good run. Or at the very least where the cast has a lot pretty country females.
  10. So the S24 Finale episode's ratings are significantly higher than S23 Finale's ratings, despite the latter being Blake's last Finale. Clearly this Finale is actually drawing the audience back to the show, despite what a vocal minority here might imply. Minivan/Team Blake isn't the end-all be-all demo of the show anymore. I like this change of direction, hope it continues, but the country-heavy panel next season feels like an attempt to draw back Minivan. Now that S24 proved they don't need a country-heavy Finale to draw ratings, maybe they don't need to pander to Minivan as hard anymore.
  11. I would have seriously considered dethroning Josh for him. Josh's run was great, but I never seen an artist like bodie do well on The Voice US before. He would have been a truly unique winner.
  12. Well he's obviously in my Top 5 with him being only the third of my Golden Snowflakesβ„’ to win the whole show. I think I'd put him ahead of Todd but behind Josh, prolly due to the length of their runs.
  13. To be fair I think the regular IDF people were rooting for some of the female talent, it's just that the female talent were either polarizing or didn't make it to the Finale. But yea, a good number of the casual IDF Voice watchers like @Ptones2010 , @kclarkson1323 and yourself were rooting for Huntley, surprisingly. I think that's just further proof of his appeal to the casual voters, and it was enough to clinch the win.
  14. You knew from the jump that Huntley is something special, took a while to for everyone elss to get with the program LOL. A season to remember for sure!
  15. That duet was lowkey beautiful for sure. Can't wait for my mom and I to watch it together soon.
  16. Honestly, bodie is a perfect example of how to exit properly from this show, I hope Huntley does the same.
  17. OMGGGGG! Congratulations Huntley on a fantastic Voice run! As much as I hate that Huntley has to contend with the Voice bear trap contract, I can't help but be happy for him being rewarded for all the hard work that he's put in this endeavor. This will surely revive his passion for music, and I hope this fuels him to pursue whatever musical path he wants to take with conviction. Just please, don't sign the damn contract. Thank y'all so much to the people who voted and showed kindness and support to Huntley here on IDF! Y'all made this happen! Let's keep watching this space, from here on out. Can't wait to see how he hits the ground running! #TeamHUNTLEY
  18. I welcome it tbh! I noticed that despite other artists having higher peaks than him all season long, Huntley still beats them on the averages and has much wider coverage across the US. His search results last night also have some variation of "how to vote" on its Top 5 searches, while his other competition did not.
  19. He'd better return and defend his 100% winrate!
  20. Minivan will always be a factor and consideration. I'm just saying the casuals can now even the score with the one-vote rule in place.
  21. Which is what I'm saying. The casual vote is still the deciding factor here, even if Huntley had a share of the Minivan pie.
