Only a few sites are bothering to predict the Voice winner--that's how buzz worthy the show is--but outside IDF convinced that Katie got this, they're all betting on Jake. Haven't seen TV guide's final predictions. Jake seems like the no brainer, the only country contestant, team Kelly (she won with a country contestant) and the infamous bonuses. If Katie ends up winning over Jake, I can already see/hear the collective high-five. The pimp spot with a grand ballad in the finals should help Katie. Maybe it'll be enough to make IDF's prediction come true. Still betting on Jake for now.

Don't forget Rose was competing for the IS as well. It's not hard to imagine Blake wanted Gwen to have a finalist. Maybe he didn't want to sleep on the couch either. :flowers:

You're probably right, it's too soon for that song to be done this season, but there has to be other instances when they did it anyway. In the end, they'll do whatever they want. :lol:

Trying to figure out which "Grand ballad" Katie might get. TPTB's into recycling songs, so I don't expect a song never done on the show, but go ahead, surprise me! Now for the recyclables: First, let's get Hallelujah out of the way. It's the song I can more easily see going to Rose, but who knows. "Skyfall" would've been a good one, but it's been done in the finals not too long ago, so it's safe to discard that one. One option for Katie would be: "Summertime" Any other idea?

LOL. This probably belongs in the unpop thread, but after Jake's Desperado it's all the same to me if he ends up winning. Not a fan of either one.

The result might be the same. Still not convinced Katie's running away with it. They might be tied for all we know. Ricky's the only TB finalists I ever stanned (I preferred Addison over Chloe, and Amanda/Melanie over Cass.) But until top 8, he mostly had non competition-friendly songs--imo anyway--and only really showed his talent as a guitarist starting in the top 10. Which makes me wonder if Blake didn't originally bet on Kat who ended up not catching on with casuals, even though she had very vocal online fans.

And somehow 3 of them weren't stolen before the lives.

Great idea to post the other Voice franchises in this forum--together with all the videos--instead of hiding them in another forum like before. I might finally start following some of them.

Speaking of 4-chair turns, not sure if this is unusual, but this season is interesting: Katie-top 4 Ricky-top 4 Brennan -- Eliminated in the Battle rounds Mendeleyev-Eliminated in the Battle rounds Preston-Eliminated in the Knockout rounds Khalea-Eliminated in the Live Playoffs Shane-Eliminated in the Top 10 Marybeth-Eliminated in the semis The rest of the top 4: Rose 2 chairs Jake 1 chair (still highly suspicious, still convinced it was setup to make sure Jake had to pick Kelly...)

The live episodes are so few now that I think the semis are more important than they used to be for casuals to find out who makes the finals. (not talking about the show stans, they've picked their snowflakes since the blinds for the most part. ) But if you're talking about frontrunners, yeah, they're determined earlier.

I agree about the #1. The 2nd most important is maybe a tie between the blinds and the semis. Your posts are always interesting and well thought-out.

We all know performing on the show isn't a career boost for alums but it's a nice gesture for the fans.

True. But we'd have to assume that silent Blakers + casuals voted to the max for him every single week. Finals Pimp Spot Fun Facts: Out of 16 seasons, contestants who got the pimp spot in the finals: 9/16 were winners 4/16 were runner-ups 3/16 were 3rd or 4th place I think my gut's lying to me. Katie's stats over Jake are overwhelming at all levels. Those pesky bonuses though... BTW still no word on who got the last bonus? It's gotta be Jake again since they did the same thing last week... ETA: I checked Jake's FB, and he didn't mention he got the bonus. TPTB must have had a word with him after he spilled the beans last week... :whistling:

SM says Katie wins, but my gut says Hoot does.

As much as I'd love for Ricky to be the shocker, I really doubt it bc SM stats. Runner-up at best would be my guess, and the chances are very small.

Would be great, but don't they have comebackers groupsing these days?

You put a lot of work into it. If you're right, it would totally render FB stats useless.
