The only thing that would ruin the finals for me is if the song spoilers show obvious bussing. Other than that, I'll just chill and enjoy the show. It's a shame they can't have cash prizes for all finalists according to their placement, but I understand: they need the money for the coaches. After all, the show's not called "The Coaches" for nothing. Oh well...

Also I disagree about pimp spot meaning nothing. If the results are too close to call, the finals pimp spot will break the tie (disclaimer: as long as it's a good performance-See Matt S7.) And I think casuals are very receptive to pimp spots in general-PSY 101.

^True. If she wins, Katie won't be your typical Voice winner. The closest finalist Katie reminds me of is Jordan in that she's a force of nature as an artist as well. He was TCO, and so is she imo. Jordan was only 22 though, and had this huge Christian following among viewers. She'd be the same age as Josh, who I believe is the oldest winner to date. Sundance was a year younger

All 3 of them already had their pimp spots for the last 4 episodes. Katie's last pimp spot was for the POs, so I can't imagine anyone else getting it.

Everything points to Katie having her final moment tomorrow (pimp spot, grand ballad.) If Katie and Jake are basically tied, it could make a huge difference with casuals. They must have their favs too by now, but I could see them voting for the best performance(s) as well.

And I was wondering if her large fanbase might also include overseas fans who can't vote :lol: In the past, country fans, who are a sizable portion of the voters, weren't very active on SM. Maybe part of them still aren't. Bottom line is, if Jake does win, TPTB will have had the last laugh making us doubt what we all predicted at the beginning of the season, i.e. that Jake would win.

I agree with you. The fact that she wasn't able to get even one friggin bonus this season makes me doubt the strength of her fanbase. By that I mean fans who can actually vote. idk how FB is set up, never use it, but is it possible a lot of her fans are from abroad? Serious question.

My personal impression of the demo is that Jake is more likely to be the one with more universal appeal among viewers than Katie. lol. Not happening. Unless Kelly wants to bus him, but I really doubt it.

Funny you should mention it, I was just thinking about that. How funny that both Rose and Ricky, consummate pros the whole season, should be the ones with the growth arc and underdog status by the semis!! Others besides the top 2 shoved them out of the limelight with flashy and buzzworthy performances early on, but were discarded soon after because those moments ended up being their peaks as well. Weird season. So maybe you're right and Ricky does have a 10% chance of being runner-up instead of either Jake or Katie, and same for Rose? Who knows?

Just bc it's your opinion doesn't make it true, especially after Let It Be. That said, I agree with you it's 100% between Jake and Katie.
