  1. Cut: A-E-I-O-U (The Caterpillar Song) from Alice in Wonderland Save: Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride from Lilo & Stitch
  2. This would be my new favorite movie. I don't understand why they just don't do more Muppet remakes!
  3. Auli'i Cravalho is confirmed back for Moana 2. This can only mean one thing.
  4. Carlos PenaVega I can suffer through the evangelicalism of Alexa because she's in some of my favorite movies, but Carlos is a whole different deal. What do I know Carlos from? Big Time Rush. That's it. I was even too old for Big Time Rush while it was on. And I really missed out on being in to boy bands until like the year 2022 when I got very in to KPOP. These kids means NOTHING to me. I do like that he and Alexa took each other's names. Which is actually very cool and not Evangelical. But that's about where it stops. I do like that he and Alexa had really no problem doing sexy routines. Which isn't standard. But I don't feel he was as good as Alexa (his wife and thus a direct comparison) and on the whole was a member of one of the more mediocre seasons. I can't really remember any routine he did. And I was surprised to see that he actually made the finale when I looked him up because I could have sworn he was eliminated at Top 5. I don't think losing him is a big loss and me knowing who Hélio is allowed me to win trivia last night. Also I wanted to make sure at least Hélio made it through! So sorry Carlos. Saving: Hélio
  5. this is how Alex is bringing up his post engagement.
  6. this is fine because of the rankers i am probably the one who cares the least. lololol. i was going to say if 5pm worked better for people defer to them anyway.
  7. So these were animated shorts that would be aired before a movie. Typically back in the old days an animated short (or a few) would be shown before the feature film. It's also how people got their news as well since they'd also usually air a news strip. So you'd go to the movies and it would be like 1) See an animated short (Disney/Looney Toons/Betty Boop/etc), 2) see a news strip, 3) see your feature film.
  8. The World Will Know (Newsies) I usually re-listen to these songs before cutting just in case and so I can say something. But they are currently drilling a hole in our lab to do construction and it's so loud that I can barely hear anything, let alone a song. They were supposed to start drilling Thursday. So I went with a Newsies song because though I am more familiar with the Broadway musical, I do know that the songs in general don't do much for me. This is the song where Jack and David galvanize the Manhattan Newsies to go on strike. I think this is better in the musical version just because Jeremy Jordan is a better singer than Christian Bale. Anyway, as with all the other Newsies songs it's perfectly fine. If you are a Newsies fan certainly this does it for you. And Derek I'm stealing your save since it's been an hour. Hopefully you don't mind. Saving: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf
  9. Cut: The World Will Know (Newsies) Save: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf (Silly Symphonies)
  10. I assume this is EST? In that case 10PM would work better for me.
  11. Guardian Angel I have already cut this once in the rankdown so it should be no surprise I am here cutting it again. I am using the same write-up as you can see but adding just a little bit. I actually was talking with some labmates about DCOMs today and we were reminiscing about movies like MOTOCROSSED and PHANTOM OF THE MEGAPLEX. I don't know that DCOMs used to be good but at least I used to be the age for them. I think that's my big issue. Also they are like all now musicals. I have NEVER heard of this DCOM before. And OMG I can't believe that Tyler James Williams is in this. I am reading the summary of this DCOM and it's literally a Disney Channel Hip-Hop retelling of Cyrano. LOLOLOL. Well it's probably no worse than the actual musical movie Cyrano which was MEH. This is like a perfectly fine mediocre Disney hip-hop/rap song. It's probably a little elevated by the fact that Coco Jones and Tyler James Williams are both more talented and more charismatic than most Disney Channel Stars, but I'm sorry. It's a Disney Channel Hip-Hop movie. I read an article recently about the death of Hip-Hop as a culture as we approached the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop as a genre and yes it's true. If the Disney Channel is writing raps for their movies for teens, hip-hop is dead. Saving: the other one

  16. The Tummy Song For me what separates a completely necessary live action remake or a completely unnecessary sequel (like Mary Poppins Returns) from something like the newer 2011 Winnie the Pooh is actually good. If you are going to make a sequel or a remake add something! At the very least MAKE IT GOOD. Anyway, it pains me to do this but the 2011 Winnie the Pooh still has one more song and I'm almost always going to save the more iconic song if given the binary choice. This song is also very similar to another original Winnie the Pooh song still in the game. It doesn't make it less painful but it still acts as a salve for the wound of people making me do this. I LOVE Winnie the Pooh! The character, the books, the movies, the tv show. All of it. When I was a little kid I had some Disney songs on tape. Like a whole tape of classic songs. Then I had a separate cassette of just Winnie the Pooh songs. I listened to both those cassettes on repeat until cassette tapes got replaced by CDs in my household. Winnie the Pooh is like ingrained into my personality. Like as much a fundamental building block as Sailor Moon which I used to wake up at 6AM to watch before I went to school. Lastly, in the video above I just want to take a second to admire the animation! It's so good! Saving: You Can Fly
  17. there's still about 45min until the next cut can be made. lol. but i wanted to get my actual cut in.
  18. Second Star to the Right "Second Star to the Right" is the title music from Peter Pan. I actually quite like it. You should know by now there's something about Disney songs that came out before like 1970 that really just hit perfectly for me! I just love something about like a classic movie song. I feel the same way about musicals. Give me one before 1970 when Hollywood was still trying to maintain that like "clean" essence (and have their losing battle against the counterculture). That being said, I don't feel this is a "classic" song like other songs in Peter Pan or literally ANY song in The Lion King. It's a pretty song, I like it a lot. But unlike some other songs that have been eliminated this early-ish I'm not mad it's going. It's outlasted 200+ other songs and that feels about right for it if you told me that in a vacuum. Saving: I Just Can't Wait to Be King
  19. I will say this. Nothing makes sense in Madame Web. With that being said, I would see it I am thinking 10 times in theaters and I probably would still be laughing at like every moment of it.
  20. I Just Can't Wait to Be King (Lion King) The Tummy Song (Winnie the Pooh) The Second Star to the Right (Peter Pan) You Can Fly! (Peter Pan) lol well since elliott probably won't make his cuts i'll just wait for the 24 hours to almost pass and then i'll just make both sets of cut saves in a row since i'm the only one left.
