  1. #4. Sin Wagon— LOVE this song! It is so fun and makes me happy every time I hear it. “That right I said mattress dancing.” Hey there, women completely owning their sexuality and continuing to be badasses. #3. Not Ready to Make Nice— Such a gorgeous song that was in such close running for my #1. From the very first word they had me hooked emotionally. #2. Landslide— Speaking of songs that hook me emotionally, this one is up there. I am a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, and this is a perfect cover that evokes as much emotion as the original. #1. Goodbye Earl— While it wasn’t my #1 choice, I am 100% not disappointed in it winning. Can I reference them being badasses again? Queens of writing a song about killing an abusive husband! Also, I’m obsessed with the fact that we wound up with a winner that had many high rankings but no #1s! Has that happened before?
  2. Also, I would like to play in the Kacey round please
  3. As I’m mourning my last evening of vacation and pouring my last glass of wine for the night, I am going to wind up giving minimal comments on only several songs #11. March March— noooo! I adore this song and the video as well I love the entire sound to this song and how minimalistic and haunting the chorus is... The lyrics are all fabulous, but I have to give the edge to: “Tell the ol’ boys in the white bread lobby what they can and can’t do with their bodies...” Hello, badass women. I love you. Also, the musical breakdown at the end is EVERYTHING. #10. Ready to Run— the intro to this song gives me all the flashbacks to my competitive Irish dancing days Such a fun classic song I wish I could have ranked higher.
  4. Still catching up! 18. Long Way Around (I ranked 6)— I wasn’t expecting to be the highest ranked for this one, but the more I listened, the more charming I found it. I love the message of someone who doesn’t take the same path as everyone else but finds her way 17. There’s Your Trouble (I ranked 19)— A cute and catchy song, but I wound up preferring a lot of the others. 16. Let Him Fly (I ranked 20)— I found it forgettable compared to some of the others, so it wound up here by default. Also, while I’m still catching up with my comments, I have to give a huge for this top 3!
  5. Catching up! 21. My Best Friend’s Weddings (I ranked 11)— Not my favorite off of the newest album, but definitely one I would have liked to have seen rank higher (and I feel like this doesn’t bode well for my other faves off of Gaslighter). Anyways, I really enjoy this song, especially the part before the last chorus . 20. Without You (I ranked 18)— Another solid song, but not one of my all-time favorites. 19. Daddy Lessons (I ranked 17)— Glad to see this make the top 21 this round, since I was pretty disappointed it didn’t in the Beyoncé round! I adore this song, and part of me wanted to rank it higher, but it didn’t feel right putting it above some of their classic songs. Amazing collab though
  6. I’ll advance —Losing My Religion — Hit Me With Your Best Shot/One Way or Another
  7. And sad for this one, which would have definitely made my top 5!
  8. Sorry, I had forgotten a few of the songs left, so I had to relisten to a bunch on YouTube. Advancing: — Hello I Love You — Happy Xmas (War Is Over) — I Don’t Wanna Know — Shout It Out Loud And I’ll move “I Don’t Wanna Know” to the penultimate.
  9. Yes! I’m typing mine up right now. Within the hour!
  10. Hey! I have to finish my top 20 for The Chicks tonight, then I will tackle this. I’ll have my choices by morning.
  11. Currently baking a pie, then finishing this is my new top priority! you’ll have them before I go to bed tonight!
  12. Sorry @Deeee, I’m not around much this week. My husband and I are both on “vacation” (or what passes for it in pandemic times ), so we’ve been doing a lot of little day trips with the baby. I should be able to get to this late tomorrow, or Thursday at the absolute latest!
  13. 20. Hand in My Pocket/I Feel the Earth Move (I ranked #20)— A good vocal performance from both and fun mashup, but it was honestly the one that I remembered the least after watching all of these. 19. Lovesong (I ranked #19)— Their 3 voices sound lovely together. I put this one so low because it felt like more of a feature for the other 2. Also, Santana wore some of the best dresses 18. The Boy Is Mine (I ranked #16)— So fun! Mercedes and Santana obviously have some of the best performances together, and this one is no exception. I just love Naya in all of her duets. Her harmonizing and ad-libs are always so good! Also this song is such a jam, and she brought the perfect attitude to it! 17. La Isla Bonita (I ranked #4)— And here’s where my streak of agreeing with the group consensus comes to an abrupt end . Honestly I wasn’t expecting to rank it as high as I did either, but when I watched it back it just brought me such joy. The dancing and the harmonies were so well done, and it just looked like they were having so much fun performing together. 16. Me Against the Music (I ranked #6)— I definitely struggled with where to put this one. It’s one of the performances I enjoy most from Glee, but it’s definitely more of a Brittany-focused song. I wound up leaving it very high on my list because everything just comes together so well: dancing, singing, chemistry, costumes, how true they were to the actual video, etc. Overall, a great start to the Top 20 (I genuinely love so many of these songs, so I don’t think the results will upset me too much no matter what). Biggest upset so far is “La Isla Bonita”. I wasn’t expecting to be such an outlier with how high I put it
  14. I’m least familiar with Kacey of all of the artists so far, but I do know some. I’m going to listen to a little more before I decide if I’m gonna play
  15. I’ll sign up for Finn as well! I’ve been really enjoying relistening to everything
  16. I just rewatched the “Best Wishes, Warmest Regards” documentary on Netflix, and I’m still sad that Schitts Creek didn’t make the finals
  17. @*Amandaas soon as I figure out how to find my inbox/messages with this update, I’ll send you my rankings
  18. Without You - Solaris, Gigi, Chris Truth No. 2 - Hope It’s Something Good - Elliott, Derek, Kaley
  19. Working on this today! You’ll have it by tonight.
  20. I tried to split it up between the albums and remove at least one from each Sorry, it was near impossible! Don’t Waste Your Heart On Me Heartbreak Town Godspeed (Sweet Dreams) I Hope Set Me Free
  21. Awwww, not Julianna Calm Down. That was my favorite of those left @Deeee, any way I can get an extension til morning? I just got home and I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to listen to a couple before I fall asleep I’ll do it as soon as I wake up.
  22. I won’t be making mine til later tonight. I work til 10 and there’s a few I want to listen to
