Idol's probably trying save face, lol. They got some bad publicity of Sam's plight after the show. But we know that Idol's always had their pecking order of favorites - aka those who had post-show success. Yeah a girl won - Maddie Poppe. But notice Idol invited both Gabby Barrett and Catie Turner back as mentors and not Maddie. I like Catie, but Maddie would have been a good fit last year mentoring songwriting with Phillip Phillips.

Kayko's on Reddit. Obviously, you have ax to grind with him, why not bring it to him directly, instead of constantly taking that information and running back here gossiping and complaining and nick picking about it. How many anti-Kayko posts have there been here. IMO, that's a d*ck move.

You made comments about the audience attacking, beating up Colin. NONE of this is that deep. It's a TV show. A girl winner will not change the world. Kayko winning will not be this great Travesty as you claimed. But his fans as well as Jack's and others should be able to post without feeling ostracized.

For me, I don't make a point of singleling someone out each season and then relentlessly going after them - to the point of suggesting violence as with Colin Stough last year. That gets into Bullying.

But that's not right to put that on the contestants. My point is that I am not going to stan on a female and a drag a male because of gender, regardless of performance.

Keep this in mind. The contestants who aren't popular on IDF - tends to do well after the show. Whereas the favorites here tend to disappear. There are those here who will never vote for a guy period, regardless of their performance. Which is ironic, since they are doing the same thing they are accusing the "minivan" crowd of.

Yup. And you're not allowed to like any male contestants on here, lol. Every poll you see will be the same - the girls are killing it, blah, blah. The guys are horrible, blah blah.

This is part of Idol's "acknowledgement". The hypocrisy considering they barely even mentioned Mandisa over the years. Yet they had Lauren Daigel back multiple times. Even though she had been cut early on and no one even remembers her from the show. Mandisa was an adored icon on American Idol...... Her passing has left everyone on the show heartbroken......

With all her success, Mandisa never got the recognition from Idol that she deserved. It was sad to learn that she's had mental health struggles.

Why do you feel the need to pick on someone each season and then relentlessly go after them? I don’t know why anyone would spend all their time and energy on someone they don’t like. I am not even a fan of Country music, but the way Colin was treated was horrible - to the point where violence being suggested.

And no one should be bothered with my comment that Quantavious is the best singer in the competition and that he could sing circles around the Pageant Queens, white girls.

Oh please. People here do that all the time.

It's the same thing every year - a certain type of performer (white, bland female) gets pimped here, but end up going nowhere after the show.
