Keeping in mind the same number of weeks, how would you readjust the schedule?

I’ve seen a lot of people saying they don’t like how fast the schedule is going and that it needs to be readjusted…so how do we do it if we have to do the same number of weeks? (You may add a few Monday episodes as you see fit)…

 

Here is mine:

I just looked at the updated schedule and it looks like there are Monday live episodes on the 15, 22 and 29…so I’m going with that…

In a perfect world, I'd get the Main Competition (Top 14 onwards) back to the FOX format, where we eliminate contestants on a weekly basis on results shows the night after, but with the technology to do live voting and eliminations in the same episode, there is a nice compromise somewhere. I did keep the FOX-style performance-show-then-results-show-the-following-night from the Final Four onward.

 

And of course, the Judges' Save (and Double Elimination, if the Save is used) would be in play.

Unfortuantely, they will never go back to the original format.

 

Idol used to make SO much money and have so many viewers so they could produce as many live shows as they wanted.

 

Currently, audition episodes are the cheapest to produce and the most watched - so they focus on those - 6 weeks of auditions.  Live shows are expensive and they want to do as few of those as possible.

This is my desired schedule while also being realistic with the ABC era in mind. Also removed the two Monday's in March since those didn't exist this season.
