  2. She might have been out of the spotlight a while, but one name I can think of is Sara Bareilles.
  3. How do we figure out the "cut" list? Posts from places elsewhere?
  4. There's going to be a LOT of rain and a significant flood threat there Sunday into Tuesday, so it may be a challenge with flight delays and cancellations.
  5. Do we have any idea on who may have been cut in Hollywood? Or is that not being kept track at all?
  6. Maybe Ashley is one of those cut before Showstoppers in Hollywood.
  7. Interesting choice to see them going to Hawaii. It's actually nice to see them branching away from Hollywood.
  8. I doubt it. Auditions were still being accepted until late October. I think they are just bringing it down to the Hollywood contestants now.
  9. People, including Idols, do move on. I'm sure some of them work good everyday jobs outside of entertainment, but others who try to stay in it are struggling. Even if you finish high up, you should never completely quit your previous job or stop going to school. The fame will eventually fade unless you're one of the few who manage to make the permanent breakthrough. We can look at old finalist and semi-finalist lists - and I'm sure the vast majority of them are now just everyday 30, 40 year olds with families.
  10. There are many semi-finalists and even some finalists over the years that such happened to.
  11. In other words, age 15 when the season starts, not when auditions are ongoing. That was done very quietly.
  12. With auditions going on now (entirely online) do we have any early hints on people who may have made it?
  13. Spoilers are so much, so much harder when all auditions are online. It's basically a level playing field right now. When in-person sites are announced, it becomes a lot easier.
  14. I'll admit I haven't watched the reboot much. But with those judges...maybe. (Of course, the contestants now are all so much younger than I am, not my age or near it).
