Cam I think he should have been top 24. It would have given him more confidence. There were other weaker vocals that made it. It's was not fair.

I think Cam shouldn't have even been a platinum ticket holder. He was ok, but I felt like he received it more because of his story. Same with Kaylin. I think there were more contestants who were more deserving of the platinum ticket.

 

Also, I think many contestants who made the Top 24 (even the mediocre contestants) have gained confidence already this season. That shouldn't be a main reason to advance him into the competition. He can still work on his confidence doing gigs outside of Idol. If he wants, come back next year. I think he has talent, but needs more time & experience.

His showstopper performance wasn't that good, but not as messy as some others.

 

But while his past performances were decent, they  weren't good enough that he could advance to the lives based on them. (Unlike Tyson, or if Iam or Kaeyra flopped in showstopper rounds)
