Then you must not have watched the entire season. She was my favorite, but the first one was a trainwreck.Ā

Ā
Omg I completely forgot about the first one, the endingĀ Ā S22 was the season ofĀ unnecessary choreography (Omar was even worse in that regard) -
Just read all the clues up until now and I donāt think I would have guessed a single one correctlyĀ Ā Either Iām too dumb or I suck at riddles
-
AzƔn - Forgive Me (Chloe x Halle)
Lila - Across The Universe (Beatles)
Mac - Japanese Denim (Daniel Ceasar)
Nini - Just A Girl (No Doubt)Ā
Mara - Life On Mars (David Bowie - the AURORA version, would also work for Lila)
Kara - Prom (SZA)
Ā
Idk about the others
-
1. Nini
2. Mara
3. Jordan
4. Ruby
5. Mac
6. AzƔn
7. Jacquie
8. Lila
9. Huntley
10. Kara
11. Tanner
12. BIAS
Ā
Canāt wait to see how we ended up with this Top 12 (Gwenā¦Ā )

Not a fan of Huntleyās tone, at all. Great vocalist though

I don't have that much time, but also, i'm clearly not appreciated here. So, why bother in keep managing this?? Some of y'all need to check your double standards when certain users express their opinions.Ā
Sorry to barge in but if someone called you out on something (which is whatās this is about if Iām not mistaken), maybe itās because they see you as reasonable and worth talking to, and they donāt bother with other users because they are too far gone??Ā
Like, letās say Misirlou said something stupid or went far out of line - I would tell them because theyāre cool and would probably me hear me out on it. OTOH there are users who are constantly toxic around here and I see it as a waste of time trying to talk them out of it.Ā
Either way I think you need a thicker skin. You canāt control what other people do or say but you can control how things affect you. Just my two cents.
Ā
(I will delete this post if you want @Gustavo527, I know itās not my place to do therapy to someone who didnāt ask for it. I only post this because it could potentially help)

Dust In The Wind from GNT has some issues towards the middle of the song but I still think itās their best performance.
-
I was a Gwen apologist because I thought she was good in S12 and S17, but she has regressed so much in the last two seasons sheās been in. She just seems soā¦ dumb??Ā

What about Amber Carrington? Does she counts?
Ā
And yeah, overall I agree. Country females haven't been that great, except for a few.
Amber is probably my favorite of the names thrown around but pop was where she really shined.Ā

I forgot about them, good choices -

it isnāt even top 5 best female country singers this show has had.Ā
Off-topic but I would have a hard time making a Top 5, country females on this show have been historically mediocre for some reason (maybe thatās unpop?)
I mean, Lauren was good, I liked Grace, Chevel grew on me, andā¦ thatās it?? Even then I wouldnāt say those three are among the all-time greatsĀ
(ftr I didnāt forget Danielle or Morgan - if she counts)

Decent
1. Olivia - Cool tone and I like the subtle changes to the song. Well done.Ā
2. Caleb - Didnāt know the song so it took me a bit to get into the melody but I enjoyed it overall. Nice head voice.
Ā
3. Willie - Love the song (even if I have listened to the original at least 1000 times lol) and this was a serviceable rendition of it. Also itās pretty funny to see most people here listening to this song for the first time - itās been a year and they still play it everywhere.
Ehhhhā¦4a. Kara - She has a good voice but this didnāt work for me and I canāt put my finger on why
Ā
4b. Caitlin - Kind of a mixed bag. She hit some good notes towards the end but the whole thing fell flat for me.
-
The blinds this season have beenā¦ pretty good? Iām shocked at the quality after what I consider to be the showās worst season. Thereās even some male talent? (not much but itās better than what we are used to lol)
Ā
I thought I was done with the show, but I might stick around if S24 keeps this up (unfortunately, Iām finishing my degree this year and I shouldnāt be watching a stupid singing show but some things never change )
Ā
Also happy to see I can still give positive feedback, S23 made me think I was a grumpy a**hole

Really good
1.Ā Nini - I sorely missed performances like this, vaguely reminded me of SandyReddās audition.Ā
2. JaRae - On paper I should have hated this - itās one of those songs I usually donāt enjoy covers of (I mean the original is one of the best songs ever) and the arrangement is a bit weird, but her voice really powered through! Something about her tone and phrasing made this very satisfying to listen to.
Decent
3. Elizabeth - Totally expected her to butcher this but she surprised me. Some iffy parts but thatās about as well as someone can do on a Paramore song.
4. Lila - Not sure how to feel about this one. I like her tone and her creative choices were interesting but something about the whole package feltā¦ incomplete?Ā
5. Brandon - Uneventful but he did a good enough job. And yeah heās hot.
Ā
Meh
6. Tanner - Not bad but Iām gonna forget about this in a few hours.
7. Al - ^^^^Ā
Yikes
8. Angelina - Started out fine but quickly turned into a flat mess. Probably the worst chair turner since the whistle fail.

I agree and I do think that's a pretty general consensus that it was one of the strongest top 5s ever.
Is it really?Ā Ā YikesĀ
(Gina and Grace were fine but I couldnāt remember a D.Smooth performance to save my life and the less said about the other two the better)

Kique and Devix are great but c'mon guys, the best male contestant on S22 was Omar, and i don't think it's particulary close.
Best vocalist yeah, for sure (in terms of sheer talent among the best of the showās history I would add)Ā
But like @HsamidĀ said, thereās more to an artist and in that aspect (āartistryā) I thought he paled in comparison to some of his peers

R U Mine was probably the most controversial, but what's funny is that the next day most were praising it and were in agreement that he shouldn't have been in the bottom. And IDF rallied behind him in the IS.
It was the opposite for me, I loved the first time I watched it but after that I kind of soured on it. Now I love it again -

"Mixed reception" = some minor criticism by a few users, i guess
Not my hottest take Iāll give you that, but itās not like we ever see truly unpopular opinions in hereĀ -
1 hour ago, Gustavo527 said:
Not unpopular
The reason why I mentioned those two performances is because they had a mixed reception here -
I rewatched Devixās run because why not and I loooved Yellow and R U Mine? this time around (I was on the fence before) So fair to say he never missedĀ

Not a big fan of that battle.
Ā
I thought Jacquie destroyed him, not sure why the coaches (except Reba) preferred BIAS.Ā
