Then you must not have watched the entire season. She was my favorite, but the first one was a trainwreck.Ā

Omg I completely forgot about the first one, the endingĀ :dead:Ā  S22 was the season ofĀ unnecessary choreography (Omar was even worse in that regard)

I don't have that much time, but also, i'm clearly not appreciated here. So, why bother in keep managing this?? Some of y'all need to check your double standards when certain users express their opinions.Ā

Sorry to barge in but if someone called you out on something (which is whatā€™s this is about if Iā€™m not mistaken), maybe itā€™s because they see you as reasonable and worth talking to, and they donā€™t bother with other users because they are too far gone??Ā

Like, letā€™s say Misirlou said something stupid or went far out of line - I would tell them because theyā€™re cool and would probably me hear me out on it. OTOH there are users who are constantly toxic around here and I see it as a waste of time trying to talk them out of it.

    Ā

Either way I think you need a thicker skin. You canā€™t control what other people do or say but you can control how things affect you. Just my two cents.

    Ā

(I will delete this post if you want @Gustavo527, I know itā€™s not my place to do therapy to someone who didnā€™t ask for it. I only post this because it could potentially help)

What about Amber Carrington? Does she counts?

    Ā

And yeah, overall I agree. Country females haven't been that great, except for a few.

Amber is probably my favorite of the names thrown around but pop was where she really shined.

If I had to make a T5 it would be Lauren Duski, Morgan Frazier, Audra, Mary Sarah and Katie Basden, and although she went home in battles, I remember liking Krista Hughes a lot, but the bar is really not high here and they all had problems one way or another.Ā

I forgot about them, good choices

it isnā€™t even top 5 best female country singers this show has had.Ā

Off-topic but I would have a hard time making a Top 5, country females on this show have been historically mediocre for some reason (maybe thatā€™s unpop?)

I mean, Lauren was good, I liked Grace, Chevel grew on me, andā€¦ thatā€™s it?? Even then I wouldnā€™t say those three are among the all-time greats

    Ā

(ftr I didnā€™t forget Danielle or Morgan - if she counts)

  5. Decent
    1. Olivia - Cool tone and I like the subtle changes to the song. Well done.

    Ā

    2. Caleb - Didnā€™t know the song so it took me a bit to get into the melody but I enjoyed it overall. Nice head voice.

    Ā

    3. Willie - Love the song (even if I have listened to the original at least 1000 times lol) and this was a serviceable rendition of it. Also itā€™s pretty funny to see most people here listening to this song for the first time - itā€™s been a year and they still play it everywhere.

    Ehhhhā€¦

4a. Kara - She has a good voice but this didnā€™t work for me and I canā€™t put my finger on why

    Ā

4b. Caitlin - Kind of a mixed bag. She hit some good notes towards the end but the whole thing fell flat for me.

  6. The blinds this season have beenā€¦ pretty good? Iā€™m shocked at the quality after what I consider to be the showā€™s worst season. Thereā€™s even some male talent? (not much but itā€™s better than what we are used to lol)

    Ā

I thought I was done with the show, but I might stick around if S24 keeps this up (unfortunately, Iā€™m finishing my degree this year and I shouldnā€™t be watching a stupid singing show but some things never change :haha:)

    Ā

Also happy to see I can still give positive feedback, S23 made me think I was a grumpy a**hole

  7. Really good
1.Ā Nini - I sorely missed performances like this, vaguely reminded me of SandyReddā€™s audition.

    Ā

    2. JaRae - On paper I should have hated this - itā€™s one of those songs I usually donā€™t enjoy covers of (I mean the original is one of the best songs ever) and the arrangement is a bit weird, but her voice really powered through! Something about her tone and phrasing made this very satisfying to listen to.

    Decent
    3. Elizabeth - Totally expected her to butcher this but she surprised me. Some iffy parts but thatā€™s about as well as someone can do on a Paramore song.

    4. Lila - Not sure how to feel about this one. I like her tone and her creative choices were interesting but something about the whole package feltā€¦ incomplete?

    Ā

    5. Brandon - Uneventful but he did a good enough job. And yeah heā€™s hot.

    Ā

    Meh

    6. Tanner - Not bad but Iā€™m gonna forget about this in a few hours.

    7. Al - ^^^^

    Ā

    Yikes

    8. Angelina - Started out fine but quickly turned into a flat mess. Probably the worst chair turner since the whistle fail.

I agree and I do think that's a pretty general consensus that it was one of the strongest top 5s ever.

    Is it really?Ā šŸ˜¬Ā Yikes

    Ā

(Gina and Grace were fine but I couldnā€™t remember a D.Smooth performance to save my life and the less said about the other two the better)

Kique and Devix are great but c'mon guys, the best male contestant on S22 was Omar, and i don't think it's particulary close.

Best vocalist yeah, for sure (in terms of sheer talent among the best of the showā€™s history I would add)

    Ā

But like @HsamidĀ said, thereā€™s more to an artist and in that aspect (ā€œartistryā€) I thought he paled in comparison to some of his peers

R U Mine was probably the most controversial, but what's funny is that the next day most were praising it and were in agreement that he shouldn't have been in the bottom. And IDF rallied behind him in the IS.

It was the opposite for me, I loved the first time I watched it but after that I kind of soured on it. Now I love it again
