From this batch the only one who comes close to Adam is Ricky and even then I always thought he was a bit boring. So Adam it is.

I think you nailed it tbh. Phenomenal vocalist, but her song choices were predictable and boring. Like you said her KO was her best showing (one of those rare 10/10 performances) but I also really enjoyed her Whitney cover and Emotions.

She’s probably my favorite contestant from S15 btw. 

On paper I should dislike Chris Jamison, and I’m still not entirely sure why I liked him as much as I did

Really??  Do you think you would have received backlash for exposing him as trash (knowing there’s actual evidence)? Not a single soul would have defended him.

I'm not complaining though. I also had him at #3 or #4 at some point, but now he's at #6 maybe? I think it's maybe cz he was the best of his season, and we all wanted him to win, so hyped him a lot. But after a couple of years, now when I look back at his run, I don't think it was other worldly as we made it seem. He never missed a note, but didn't have crazy moments either. (I still rate him high, cz I love his tone).

I like Cam the same amount as I did before but I rewatched Chloe’s run a few months ago and fell in love so that’s why I would currently rank her over Cam.

Cam and Bryce have the strongest auditions here. Voted Cam because it’s one of the best vocals we’ve seen in the last 9-10 seasons. 

Chloe is my favorite TB winner but I don’t love her audition for some reason.

Also what happened with Grace happens almost every season, it’s the way this show operates.

I just watched Wicked Game and I’m shook. Not sure where that came from, based on her previous performances. I will watch everything else when I have the time

Gina winning is wildddd. I was shocked when I read she made it to the Top 5 over Ryley, but this??? I have to watch her live performances because I don’t understand how this happened (not derogatory, I’m just confused)

Can’t believe I’m about to “defend” S11 and S16, but at least those seasons had some good rounds early on. S23 is a different kind of beast, imho.

Without watching the performances those are some shocking results. I had a feeling we were overestimating Holly’s chances but I still expected her to make it, and I thought Ryley was pretty much a lock

Don’t know much about Reba but I totally expected a Blake 2.0 so a country female coach is a nice surprise.

I don’t have strong opinions for the other three (hopefully Gwen is better this time around, she was so cringey on S22)

Something worth mentioning is that The Voice’s producers get way more involved than Idol’s. The Voice pushes for people who fit a narrative (new coach winning, Blake winning in the 10th anniversary, etc…) and stops everyone who can threaten that.

On the other hand it doesn’t seem like Idol gives a F. They let things run its course, which is why we keep getting WGWGs as winners.

Wé peaked a bit too early I think, her last 4-5 performances were just ok, which isn’t good enough for someone on her lane. Definitely think she should have moved on over Colin or Megan though

Nowadays I don’t have a clear favorite from that season (Janice, Moriah and Keisha were also fantastic, Chloe and Noah grew on me post-season…) but during S13 I only had eyes for Addison. Her tone and head voice are $$$, and her song choices were stellar. It took her a few rounds to truly shine, but everything after her KO is phenomenal (with the exception of H&K)

It was pretty obvious imo and I haven't even watched a lot this season. I totally understand Chance having his faves and bias, I think we'd all be the same, but it's sad that if it was vice versa re: the race issue then people would be going MAD over his decision.
