My thoughts
Chris was probably my #4 winner at this point in the show’s history (spoiler- I don’t like the next few winners nearly as much as him). I was actually rooting for him to win that season.
I think the big thing about his audition was that it was the last audition of the season, and those aren’t usually that good. Based on the other coaches’ reactions, it’s clear that he would have been a Four Chair Turn if he went earlier. It’s not in my Top 5 winners’ auditions from that point, but it’s still really good. He was great in his battle against RJ, and I felt he was the clear winner. His Knockout was excellent, and was the first time where we saw his dance moves, and was the clear winner again. His playoff was really good, and I enjoyed his falsetto parts. Not to mention one of the best LOTB covers on this show. His Top 12 was good, but not one of my favorites from him. His Top 11 was not his most memorable, but I still enjoyed it. (This wasn’t uploaded to the YouTube Channel that season). His Top 10 was probably his weakest performance, due to the least amount of vocal showcase. His Top 8 was probably his best performance vocally, and he emoted really well here. It cemented him as a T2 finisher. His finale was my favorite performance of the season. It felt like a finale performance in the best way possible. It was like watching an Award Show performance or Super Bowl Halftime Show. The production was fantastic here, and his dancing was excellent. Not to mention he still delivered a great vocal with all of that dancing. I’m glad he won after this.
I really liked Chris because of all of the risks he took. Each of his performance felt different from others, since he sang pop, R&B and gospel, and did both uptempo and slower songs really well. Not to mention he is the most entertaining winner and has the best stage presence out of all winners. He really gave it his all every time he stepped on stage. I’m glad he was the last winner before I graduated high school

Have you looked at last night’s Facebook videos? The difference between his and everyone else’s is ridiculous. It’s jumped another 80K views in 40 minutes. There are several who don’t even have 80K total views.
He seems to be the TCO of the season from what I can tell. He has been pimped a lot -

Wait what are y'all's thoughts on Andrea Thomas? I thought her battle was super impressive, and although I know it's received criticism, I was impressed by some of the vocals in her knockout.
I don’t remember her performances- 1

So today we have to say goodbye to
Mary Kate Connor
Kylee Dayne
Rachel Christine

Manasseh

Also, judges saves on Idol seem to be less effective than coach saves in The Voice. 2 contestants got saved last week, and both were eliminated tonight. At least with the team format, it’s easier for coach saves to advance over PVs from other teams

Megan was her best yet tonight imo. I haven't fully bought into her so far despite liking some performances, but I thought this was fantastic.
Megan has improved a lot on the show. I feel like she has had a huge upward trajectory throughout the competition. I think her run here is better than her run on The Voice for sure- 6

LMAO lettuce manifest this!
I could honestly see We or Megan surpass him, they are coming in HOT weekly
Hopefully at least one of them will be in the Top 5 this year -
Another instance of one of the Voice Alums singing a song one of the other Voice Alums sang on The Voice (Megan sang Marybeth’s Blind Audition song)

Wé, Megan and Marybeth are all in the Top 10

Looks like this is going to be a fun performance. It’s not a song that screams “moment” like his Blind and KO songs but I’m excited to see what he does with it.

I am so excited for her PO. In the meanwhile I’ve been relistening to her performances and I think here’s my current ranking in terms of favourites:
1. I Told You So
2. Here You Come Again
3. Maybe It Was Memphis
Please post yours if you’d like to!
Her battle might be my favorite as well. The battle is quite underrated (I ranked it above some steal/PO pass battles from that episode) and Grace was the clear winner for me -

After reading the article above and the one linked here, I think it might be possible to have a moment with "Love Is Alive." Naomi Judd's tragic death on 04/30/22 is likely to be mentioned. I'm hoping TPTB let Grace do a lovely, acoustic version that highlights her guitar playing skills.

I can see at least one eliminated contestant closing a team. Even in Live playoffs, there have been occurrences where a team closer got eliminated. The closer for the episode will advance though

For those of us who follow spoilers, it’s one of the least stressful seasons ever. Not only did we know the semi-finalists before the premiere, but we knew at least 3 of the likely finalists.
I know. I like when it’s a bit less predictable though. Sometimes I don’t realize just how good a singer is going to be during the season. This is also why I didn’t like Team Quotas, it was too predictable. Sometimes it can be exciting when a contestant you like makes the finale that you never expected preseason (or even prelives). That’s part of what made Season 21 more enjoyable for me. There were a lot of pleasant surprises

Honestly, I would feel that exact same way
Yeah, it’s a very nerve wrecking situation. If a voting round was like that, I’d be worried for my favorites for sure- 1

I hope he brings it, like last time he performed on the stage.
I'm not sure if this would be as good as IPASOY, but hoping it's really good, so he he gets all the momentum he needs going into the lives.
Yeah, I was more excited for IPASOY as well. But the majority of winners have had better Knockouts than playoffs, so it shouldn’t matter too much.- 1

I saw it on her insta. Kyla's first time doing theater! I hope clips of her performances surface!
That’s very exciting for her. She’s a very fitting contestant for a theater production. I believe she sang some theater-esque songs during her run on The Voice- 1

Looking forward to seeing NOIVAS again this week

Yeah just saw the playoffs vid, everyone does look scared as hell lol
Here's to hoping we get great performances from both the top 8 and the eliminated singers
Maybe some contestants struggled due to the pressure of only 2 people going through- 1

The Dance was a great performance from her. It might be my favorite from her as well
