I didn’t see all the performances, but based on what I’ve seen and heard, they would probably be in my Top 2 for Chance

Not uploading the performances of eliminated contestants is disrespectful. Not only does it spoil results for people not here, but think about the eliminated contestants who would want to show their family and friends who missed the episode, or the fans of the contestants’ performances that want to rewatch them

When the season initially aired she bored me.

 

Now I can appreciate her a bit more but I do think too many of her performances blend with one another. 

 

There's always criticisms of male country singers not moving out of their comfort zone vocally or otherwise, and yet I felt the same applies to Lauren's run. (Though she's a notch above vocally with how consistent she is)

 

And for as much as she sung ballads, she didn't truly move me until her semifinal onward.

 

No denying she's one of the best female country singers in the show. But her overall run doesn't do much for me. Just on country female finalists alone, I prefer Chevel, Morgan and Meghan.

Yeah I agree with this. I don’t think she got the most exciting song choices on the show, and I agree with the semis/finale part as well. This is why I preferred Chris. I feel like he and Alicia took more risks with song choices.

Expected Kala to be #1 since the Top 3 reveal. This was an exciting audition, as I didn’t expect it to be this high. She wouldn’t have been my #1 this round, but she did have my #1 battle, which makes up for it. Not to mention, she delivered in all three rounds so far, and she should place fairly high when I do my Season 23 Contestant Rankings (I don’t know the placement)

Also, Jarmon must be excited to see this, since you have the same #1.
 

Are there going to be two rounds of eliminations?

Or maybe they will advance and eliminate people automatically in the first part, and decide the people in the middle in the ultimate episode

This show is very exciting in the auditions, but the brutal cuts cause the later rounds to be less fun to follow. Hopefully they pick good people to advance far this year

I’m expecting to disagree with some of Team Chance, based on past performances from that team, but it’s not really a strong team to begin with. I’m glad to finally know what the playoffs were like. 
 

As for Sorelle, I won’t know whether or not I would have picked them until I see the rest of the team

Yeah, I enjoyed Wé’s performance more, but it helps that I already liked her more than Sorelle

So the next season is Season 13. I’m sure you’ve watched if (or at least everyone has). I feel like there was a lot of variety in the talent, since different people topped different rounds for me (T12, T11, T10 and T8 each had a different person give my favorite performance of the round, and maybe even Blinds and Playoffs). I don’t think the season was dominated by one specific contestant. That’s probably why the season was so well received here, there was a lot of variety in talent that season, and people on IDF that season had a variety of favorites. I’m going to summarize my thoughts on many contestants this season (including some singers eliminated in playoffs)

My thoughts on Lauren

I think Lauren deserved to be in the Top 2 this season with Chris. I thought her audition was one of the Top 10 auditions of the season, and her battle was good too. Her Knockout wasn’t in my Top 5 this season, but it’s still at least in my Top 8. I wasn’t a fan of her early live performances much, but they were pretty solid. Her Top 10 was fresh because I liked seeing her do something uptempo. Her Top 8 was very good as well, and her finale was great. I actually preferred The Dance but Deja Vu was better than most original songs on the show. Lauren was very solid, but she wasn’t my cup of tea like Chris was. I think she peaked in the last few weeks for sure, similar to Chris.

I agree. This performance was fine, but I think that me not liking the tone much is the reason why I can’t really get into them. Still easily the more interesting Chance semifinalist
