There isn't some magic switch that happens at the stroke of midnight on your 18th birthday. 17 and 18 year olds are pretty similar (and sometimes 19 year olds). The big change seems to happen when they go to college, or otherwise take the next step in their life with more independence.

Quick thoughts: they usually make a big deal out of a coaching filling their team, and Kelly’s comment was specific enough it would be odd for a source to misremember. My guess is Blake filled, and then, Kelly Voice blinds tape over ~4 days end of June/first day or two of July. Niell’s posted schedule wouldn’t be a conflict at all

as if Blake actually spends any time in Nashville (his band though...although he caught some shrapnel in the Nashville community because he/the touring agency let go of two of his more prominent band members for being unvaccinated)

I wonder how the gimmicks are set up, like is it set up for one taping and Blake, Chance, whomever the gimmick is set up for is supposed to use it that taping? Or is it set up pre-blinds, and then they can use it whenever they want during the blinds? Or are they told to use it for a particular contestant?
