The Souvenir Didn't realize that I didn't know how to spell "souvenir" until just now. Had a vague idea. But my first attempt was definitely incorrect. Why am I cutting this movie? I'd say that it's a surprise but in this day and age how do you not realize that needle marks on an arm either means medical condition (which your partner should likely disclose to you) or drug addict (which your partner should likely disclose to you). The Black Cat The first Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi film! It has made it very far in this rankdown but this is an awful round a movie has to get cut. So this is it. The movie is based on the Edgar Allan Poe story "The Black Cat" (duh) and is known for helping to create and popularize the psychological horror genre. It relies a lot of the atmosphere and fear and guilt to create scares rather than monsters jumping at you or chasing you. Though Karloff and Lugosi are the top billed actors, the movie is about a couple Peter and Joan played by David Manners and Julie Bishop who are prolific (thanks to the studio system which sometimes got multiple movies a year from their stars) but not necessarily known today. The couple are on their honeymoon when they meet Lugosi's character and eventually end up in the home of Karloff's character where they learn he is into Satanic cult stuff. The movie's most famous scene is still terrifying to this day where Lugosi's character skins Karloff's alive. Really great stuff.

Revenge Does not get more generic than a horror film named revenge. Ah wait. This is the French one about a woman who is assaulted and then goes out to get revenge on her attackers. Maybe I will eventually watch this one. Probably. Eventually.

Death Proof Pretty sure Planet Terror is still in this. And RobRod is the better director.
