In October, 2020, Idina Menzel confirmed that "[she and Camila] both have original songs as well." The album features the songs from the movie performed by cast members Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter & others. Also included a score suite by composers Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Onward) & Jessica Weiss (Dog Gone Trouble, Friendsgiving). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 3. Check back on this page for the pre-order link and to listen to a first song (Galitzine’s cover of Queen’s Somebody to Love) tomorrow. Cinderella is written and directed by Kay Cannon and also stars Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver, James Corden, James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Maddie Baillio and Charlotte Spencer.The new take on the classic story follows the title character as an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow.
