Wow, isn't this a spoilers post? I just read five pages looking for song choices/hints and there's nothing.

Fritz was going to perform a gutwrenching version of "Dancing in the Dark" with just guitar where he really felt the lyrics of a deep dark depression. Nicolina was going to sing the Pointer Sisters version of "Fire" where she was really going to play off of the guitar player.

You forget that the goal is to get ratings. Special appearances and performances by the likes of Vonzell, Maddie Poppe, Just Sam, Kellie Pickler, Blake Lewis and Carly Smithson aren't going to get casual people to watch the show AT ALL. On the contrary, people may tune in if they hear that Ben Platt, Bebe Rexha, or Flo Rida are performing since they are well known/popular/relevant.

Not sure if Nicolina's single will translate into a good live performance. I hope she's got a good Carrie song.

That has not been advertised anywhere and may be difficult with Noah apparently having to perform from his hotel room again. Imagine singing a duet on the stage in front of the audience with someone in a room by themselves.

Someone mentioned that Ariana and J+S have run "Mrs. Robinson" about 60 times this week and Ariana is completely perfecting it and they even got special attention from the band to make it extra special. The producers REALLY want them in the finale.

That isn't true. The initial auditions get the most ratings. People love watching the off key singers and joke acts.

I assume one brother will play the piano part, maybe one will stum lightly on the guitar. Probably no band at all.
